طسٓۚ تِلۡكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ وَكِتَابࣲ مُّبِينٍ 1

Taa-Seeen; tilka Aayaatul Qur-aani wa Kitaabim Mubeen

طس Ta Seen.
تلْك These
ءايتُ (are the) Verses
الْقُرْءان (of) the Quran
وكتابٌ and a Book
مُبينٌ clear

Ta, Seen. These are the Signs of the Quran—a book that makes things clear

27:2 Juz 19 * Page 377

هُدࣰ ى وَبُشۡرَىٰ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ 2

Hudanw wa bushraa lil mu'mineen

هُدًى A guidance
وبُشْرى and glad tidings
للْمُؤْمنين for the believers,

Guidance and good news for the believers

27:3 Juz 19 * Page 377

ٱلَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤۡتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُم بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ هُمۡ يُوقِنُونَ 3

Allazeena yuqeemoonas Salaata wa yu'toonaz Zakaata wa hum bil Aakhirati hum yooqinoon

الذين Those who
يُقيمُون establish
الصلوة the prayer
ويُؤْتُون and give
الزكوة zakah
وهُم and they
بالْءاخرة in the Hereafter
هُمْ [they]
يُوقنُون believe with certainty.

Those who observe the prayers, and give charity regularly, and are certain of the Hereafter

27:4 Juz 19 * Page 377

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ زَيَّنَّا لَهُمۡ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ يَعۡمَهُونَ 4

Innal lazeena laa yu'mimoona bil Aakhirati zaiyannaa lahum a'maalahum fahum ya'mahoon

إن Indeed,
الذين those who
لا (do) not
يُؤْمنُون believe
بالْءاخرة in the Hereafter,
زينا We have made fair-seeming
لهُمْ to them
أعْملهُمْ their deeds,
فهُمْ so they
يعْمهُون wander blindly.

As for those who do not believe in the Hereafter: We made their deeds appear good to them, so they wander aimlessly

27:5 Juz 19 * Page 377

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَهُمۡ سُوٓءُ ٱلۡعَذَابِ وَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ هُمُ ٱلۡأَخۡسَرُونَ 5

Ulaaa'ikal lazeena lahum sooo'ul 'azaabi wa hum fil Aakhirati humul akhsaroon

أُولئك Those
الذين (are) the ones,
لهُمْ for them
سُوءُ (is) an evil
الْعذاب [the] punishment
وهُمْ and they
فى in
الْءاخرة the Hereafter
هُمُ [they]
الْأخْسرُون (will be) the greatest losers.

It is they who will receive the grievous punishment—and in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers

27:6 Juz 19 * Page 377

وَإِنَّكَ لَتُلَقَّى ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ مِن لَّدُنۡ حَكِيمٍ عَلِيمٍ 6

Wa innaka latulaqqal Qur-aana mil ladun Hakeemin 'Aleem

وإنك And indeed, you
لتُلقى surely, receive
الْقُرْءان the Quran
من from [near]
لدُنْ from [near]
حكيمٌ the All-Wise,
عليمٌ the All-Knower.

You are receiving the Quran from an All-Wise, All-Knowing

27:7 Juz 19 * Page 377

إِذۡ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَهۡلِهِۦٓ إِنِّيٓ ءَانَسۡتُ نَارࣰ ا سَـَٔاتِيكُم مِّنۡهَا بِخَبَرٍ أَوۡ ءَاتِيكُم بِشِهَابࣲ قَبَسࣲ لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تَصۡطَلُونَ 7

Iz qaala Moosaa li ahliheee inneee aanastu naaran saaateekum minhaa bikhabarin aw aateekum bishihaabin qabasil la'allakum tastaloon

إذْ When
قال said
مُوسى Musa
لأهْله to his family,
إنى "Indeed, I
ءانسْتُ perceive
نارًا a fire.
سـاتيكُم I will bring you
منْها from it
بخبرٌ some information
أوْ or
ءاتيكُم I will bring you
بشهابٌ a torch
قبسٌ burning
لعلكُمْ so that you may
تصْطلُون warm yourselves."

When Moses said to his family, “I have glimpsed a fire. I will bring you some news from it; or bring you a firebrand, that you may warm yourselves.”

فَلَمَّا جَآءَهَا نُودِيَ أَنۢ بُورِكَ مَن فِي ٱلنَّارِ وَمَنۡ حَوۡلَهَا وَسُبۡحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ 8

Falammaa jaaa'ahaa noodiya am boorika man finnnnaari wa man hawlahaa wa Subhaanal laahi Rabbil 'aalameen

فلما But when
جاءها he came to it,
نُودى he was called
أن [that]
بُورك "Blessed is
من who
فى (is) at
النار the fire
ومنْ and whoever
حوْلها (is) around it.
وسُبْحن And glory be
الله (to) Allah
رب (the) Lord
الْعلمين (of) the worlds.

Then, when he reached it, he was called: “Blessed is He who is within the fire, and He who is around it, and glorified be God, Lord of the Worlds

يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ 9

Yaa Moosaaa innahooo Anal laahul 'Azeezul Hakeem

يمُوسى O Musa!
إنهُ Indeed,
أنا I Am
اللهُ Allah,
الْعزيزُ the All-Mighty,
الْحكيمُ the All-Wise."

O Moses, it is I, God, the Almighty, the Wise

27:10 Juz 19 * Page 377

وَأَلۡقِ عَصَاكَۚ فَلَمَّا رَءَاهَا تَهۡتَزُّ كَأَنَّهَا جَآنࣱّ وَلَّىٰ مُدۡبِرࣰ ا وَلَمۡ يُعَقِّبۡۚ يَٰمُوسَىٰ لَا تَخَفۡ إِنِّي لَا يَخَافُ لَدَيَّ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ 10

Wa alqi 'asaak; falammmaa ra aahaa tahtazzu ka annahaa jaaannunw wallaa mudbiranw wa lam yu'aqqib; yaa Moosaa laa takhaf innee laa yakhaafu ladaiyal mursaloon

وألْق And, "Throw
عصاك your staff."
فلما But when
رءاها he saw it
تهْتزُ moving
كأنها as if it
جان (were) a snake
ولى he turned back
مُدْبرًا (in) flight
ولمْ and (did) not
يُعقبْ look back.
يمُوسى "O Musa!
لا (Do) not
تخفْ fear.
إنى Indeed, [I]
لا (do) not
يخافُ fear
لدىـ (in) My presence
الْمُرْسلُون the Messengers.

Throw down your staff.” But when he saw it quivering, as though it were a demon, he turned around not looking back. “O Moses, do not fear; the messengers do not fear in My presence

Illaa man zalama summa baddala husnam ba'da sooo'in fa innee Ghafoorur Raheem

إلا Except
من who
ظلم wrongs
ثُم then
بدل substitutes
حُسْنًا good
بعْد after
سُوءٌ evil,
فإنى then indeed, I Am
غفُور Oft-Forgiving,
رحيم Most Merciful.

But whoever has done wrong, and then substituted goodness in place of evil. I am Forgiving and Merciful

27:12 Juz 19 * Page 377

وَأَدۡخِلۡ يَدَكَ فِي جَيۡبِكَ تَخۡرُجۡ بَيۡضَآءَ مِنۡ غَيۡرِ سُوٓءࣲۖ فِي تِسۡعِ ءَايَٰتٍ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَقَوۡمِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَوۡمࣰ ا فَٰسِقِينَ 12

Wa adkhil yadaka fee jaibika takhruj baidaaa'a min ghairisooo'in feetis'i Aayaatin ilaa Fir'awna wa qawmih; innahum kaanoo qawman faasiqeen

وأدْخلْ And enter
يدك your hand
فى into
جيْبك your bosom
تخْرُجْ it will come forth
بيْضاء white
منْ without
غيْر without
سُوءٌ harm.
فى (These are) among
تسْع nine
ءايتٌ signs
إلى to
فرْعوْن Firaun
وقوْمه and his people.
إنهُمْ Indeed, they
كانُوا are
قوْمًا a people
فسقين defiantly disobedient."

Put your hand inside your pocket, and it will come out white, without blemish—among nine miracles to Pharaoh and his people, for they are immoral people.”

فَلَمَّا جَآءَتۡهُمۡ ءَايَٰتُنَا مُبۡصِرَةࣰ قَالُواْ هَٰذَا سِحۡرࣱ مُّبِينࣱ‏ 13

Falammaa jaaa'at hum Aayaatunaa mubsiratan qaaloo haazaa sihrum mubeen

فلما But when
جاءتْهُمْ came to them
ءايتُنا Our Signs
مُبْصرةً visible,
قالُوا they said,
هذا "This
سحْر (is) a magic
مُبين manifest."

Yet when Our enlightening signs came to them, they said, “This is obvious witchcraft.”

27:14 Juz 19 * Page 378

وَجَحَدُواْ بِهَا وَٱسۡتَيۡقَنَتۡهَآ أَنفُسُهُمۡ ظُلۡمࣰ ا وَعُلُوࣰّ اۚ فَٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ 14

Wa jahadoo bihaa wastaiqanat haaa anfusuhum zulmanw-wa 'uluwwaa; fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul mufsideen

وجحدُوا And they rejected
بها them,
واسْتيْقنتْها though were convinced with them (signs)
أنفُسُهُمْ themselves,
ظُلْمًا (out of) injustice
وعُلُوًا and haughtiness.
فانظُرْ So see
كيْف how
كان was
عقبةُ (the) end
الْمُفْسدين (of) the corrupters.

And they rejected them, although their souls were certain of them, out of wickedness and pride. So see how the outcome was for the mischief-makers

وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَا دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيۡمَٰنَ عِلۡمࣰ اۖ وَقَالَا ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي فَضَّلَنَا عَلَىٰ كَثِيرࣲ مِّنۡ عِبَادِهِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ 15

Wa laqad aatainaa Daawooda wa sulaimaana 'ilmaa; wa qaalal hamdu lil laahil lazee faddalanaa 'alaa kaseerim min 'ibaadihil mu'mineen

ولقدْ And verily,
ءاتيْنا We gave
داوُد Dawood
وسُليْمن and Sulaiman
علْمًا knowledge,
وقالا and they said,
الْحمْدُ "Praise be
لله to Allah
الذى the One Who
فضلنا has favored us
على over
كثيرٌ many
منْ of
عباده His servants
الْمُؤْمنين the believers."

And We gave David and Solomon knowledge. They said, “Praise God, who has favored us over many of His believing servants.”

27:16 Juz 19 * Page 378

وَوَرِثَ سُلَيۡمَٰنُ دَاوُۥدَۖ وَقَالَ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ عُلِّمۡنَا مَنطِقَ ٱلطَّيۡرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِن كُلِّ شَيۡءٍۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلۡفَضۡلُ ٱلۡمُبِينُ 16

Wa warisa Sulaimaanu Daawooda wa qaala yaaa aiyuhan naasu 'ullimnaa mantiqat tairi wa ooteenaa min kulli shai'in inna haazaa lahuwal fadlul mubeen

وورث And inherited
سُليْمنُ Sulaiman
داوُد Dawood.
وقال And he said,
يأيُها "O
الناسُ people!
عُلمْنا We have been taught
منطق (the) language
الطيْر (of) the birds,
وأُوتينا and we have been given
من from
كُل every
شىْءٌ thing.
إن Indeed,
هذا this
لهُو surely, it
الْفضْلُ (is) the favor
الْمُبينُ evident."

And Solomon succeeded David. He said, “O people, we were taught the language of birds, and we were given from everything. This is indeed a real blessing.”

27:17 Juz 19 * Page 378

وَحُشِرَ لِسُلَيۡمَٰنَ جُنُودُهُۥ مِنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِ وَٱلطَّيۡرِ فَهُمۡ يُوزَعُونَ 17

Wa hushira Sulaimaana junooduhoo minal jinni wal insi wattairi fahum yooza'oon

وحُشر And were gathered
لسُليْمن for Sulaiman
جُنُودُهُ his hosts
من of
الْجن jinn
والْإنس and the men
والطيْر and the birds,
فهُمْ and they
يُوزعُون (were) set in rows.

To the service of Solomon were mobilized his troops of sprites, and men, and birds—all held in strict order

27:18 Juz 19 * Page 378

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَتَوۡاْ عَلَىٰ وَادِ ٱلنَّمۡلِ قَالَتۡ نَمۡلَةࣱ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّمۡلُ ٱدۡخُلُواْ مَسَٰكِنَكُمۡ لَا يَحۡطِمَنَّكُمۡ سُلَيۡمَٰنُ وَجُنُودُهُۥ وَهُمۡ لَا يَشۡعُرُونَ 18

hattaaa izaaa ataw 'alaa waadin namli qaalat namlatuny yaaa aiyuhan namlud khuloo masaakinakum laa yahtimannakum Sulaimaanu wa junooduhoo wa hum laa yash'uroon

حتى Until,
إذا when
أتوْا they came
على to
واد (the) valley
النمْل (of) the ants,
قالتْ said
نمْلة an ant,
يأيُها "O
النمْلُ ants!
ادْخُلُوا Enter
مسكنكُمْ your dwellings
لا lest not crush you
يحْطمنكُمْ lest not crush you
سُليْمنُ Sulaiman
وجُنُودُهُ and his hosts
وهُمْ while they
لا (do) not perceive."
يشْعُرُون (do) not perceive."

Until, when they came upon the Valley of Ants, an ant said, “O ants! Go into your nests, lest Solomon and his troops crush you without noticing.”

27:19 Juz 19 * Page 378
Marriage & Family

فَتَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِكࣰ ا مِّن قَوۡلِهَا وَقَالَ رَبِّ أَوۡزِعۡنِيٓ أَنۡ أَشۡكُرَ نِعۡمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِيٓ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَيَّ وَأَنۡ أَعۡمَلَ صَٰلِحࣰ ا تَرۡضَىٰهُ وَأَدۡخِلۡنِي بِرَحۡمَتِكَ فِي عِبَادِكَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ 19

Fatabassama daahikam min qawlihaa wa qaala Rabbi awzi'nee an ashkura ni'mata kal lateee an'amta 'alaiya wa 'alaa waalidaiya wa an a'mala saalihan tardaahu wa adkhilnee birahmatika fee 'ibaadikas saaliheen

فتبسم So he smiled -
ضاحكًا laughing
من at
قوْلها her speech
وقال and said,
ربـ "My Lord!
أوْزعْنى Grant me (the) power
أنْ that
أشْكُر I may thank You
نعْمتك (for) Your Favor
التى which
أنْعمْت You have bestowed
علىـ on me
وعلى and on
ولدىـ my parents
وأنْ and that
أعْمل I may do
صلحًا righteous (deeds),
ترْضىهُ that will please You.
وأدْخلْنى And admit me
برحْمتك by Your Mercy
فى among
عبادك Your slaves
الصلحين righteous."

He smiled and laughed at her words, and said, “My Lord, direct me to be thankful for the blessings you have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and to do good works that please You. And admit me, by Your grace, into the company of Your virtuous servants.”

وَتَفَقَّدَ ٱلطَّيۡرَ فَقَالَ مَالِيَ لَآ أَرَى ٱلۡهُدۡهُدَ أَمۡ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَآئِبِينَ 20

Wa tafaqqadat taira faqaala maa liya laaa aral hud hud, am kaana minal ghaaa'ibeen

وتفقد And he inspected
الطيْر the birds
فقال and said,
ما "Why
لى "Why
لا not
أرى I see
الْهُدْهُد the hoopoe
أمْ or
كان is he
من from
الْغائبين the absent?

Then he inspected the birds, and said, “Why do I not see the hoopoe? Or is he among the absentees

27:21 Juz 19 * Page 378

لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُۥ عَذَابࣰ ا شَدِيدًا أَوۡ لَأَاْذۡبَحَنَّهُۥٓ أَوۡ لَيَأۡتِيَنِّي بِسُلۡطَٰنࣲ مُّبِينࣲ‏ 21

La-u'azzibanahoo 'azaaban shadeedan aw la azbahannahoo aw layaatiyannee bisultaanim mubeen

لأُعذبنهُ I will surely punish him
عذابًا (with) a punishment
شديدًا severe
أوْ or
لأاذْبحنهُ I will surely slaughter him
أوْ unless
ليأْتينى he brings me
بسُلْطنٌ a reason
مُبينٌ clear."

I will punish him most severely, or slay him, unless he gives me a valid excuse.”

27:22 Juz 19 * Page 378

فَمَكَثَ غَيۡرَ بَعِيدࣲ فَقَالَ أَحَطتُ بِمَا لَمۡ تُحِطۡ بِهِۦ وَجِئۡتُكَ مِن سَبَإِۭ بِنَبَإࣲ يَقِينٍ 22

Famakasa ghaira ba'eedin faqaala ahattu bimaa lam tuhit bihee wa ji'tuka min Sabaim binaba iny-yaqeen

فمكث So he stayed
غيْر not
بعيدٌ long,
فقال and he said,
أحطتُ "I have encompassed
بما that which
لمْ not
تُحطْ you have encompassed
به it,
وجئْتُك and I have come to you
من from
سبإٌ Saba
بنبإٌ with news
يقينٌ certain.

But he did not stay for long. He said, “I have learnt something you did not know. I have come to you from Sheba, with reliable information

27:23 Juz 19 * Page 379

إِنِّي وَجَدتُّ ٱمۡرَأَةࣰ تَمۡلِكُهُمۡ وَأُوتِيَتۡ مِن كُلِّ شَيۡءࣲ وَلَهَا عَرۡشٌ عَظِيمࣱ‏ 23

Innee wajattum ra atan tamlikuhum wa ootiyat min kulli shai'inw wa lahaa 'arshun 'azeem

إنى Indeed, I
وجدتُ found
امْرأةً a woman
تمْلكُهُمْ ruling them
وأُوتيتْ and she has been given
من of
كُل every
شىْءٌ thing
ولها and for her
عرْش (is) a throne
عظيم great.

I found a woman ruling over them, and she was given of everything, and she has a magnificent throne

وَجَدتُّهَا وَقَوۡمَهَا يَسۡجُدُونَ لِلشَّمۡسِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ فَصَدَّهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ فَهُمۡ لَا يَهۡتَدُونَ 24

Wajattuhaa wa qawmahaa yasjudoona lishshamsi min doonil laahi wa zaiyana lahumush Shaitaanu a'maalahum fasaddahum 'anis sabeeli fahum laa yahtadoon

وجدتُها And I found her
وقوْمها and her people
يسْجُدُون prostrating
للشمْس to the sun
من instead of Allah,
دُون instead of Allah,
الله instead of Allah,
وزين and has made fair-seeming
لهُمُ to them
الشيْطنُ the Shaitaan
أعْملهُمْ their deeds,
فصدهُمْ and averted them
عن from
السبيل the Way,
فهُمْ so they
لا (are) not
يهْتدُون guided,

I found her and her people worshiping the sun, instead of God. Satan made their conduct appear good to them, and diverted them from the path, so they are not guided

27:25 Juz 19 * Page 379

أَلَّاۤ يَسۡجُدُواْۤ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي يُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡخَبۡءَ فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَيَعۡلَمُ مَا تُخۡفُونَ وَمَا تُعۡلِنُونَ 25

Allaa yasjudoo lillaahil lazee yukhrijul khab'a fis samaawaati wal ardi wa ya'lamu maa tukhfoona wa maa tu'linoon

ألا That not
يسْجُدُوا they prostrate
لله to Allah,
الذى the One Who
يُخْرجُ brings forth
الْخبْء the hidden
فى in
السموت the heavens
والْأرْض and the earth
ويعْلمُ and knows
ما what
تُخْفُون you conceal
وما and what
تُعْلنُون you declare,

If only they would worship God, who brings to light the mysteries of the heavens and the earth, and knows what you conceal and what you reveal

27:26 Juz 19 * Page 379

ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ۩ 26

Allaahu laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa Rabbul 'Arshil Azeem

اللهُ Allah
لا (there is) no
إله god
إلا but
هُو He,
ربُ (the) Lord
الْعرْش (of) the Throne
الْعظيم the Great."

God—There is no god but He, the Lord of the Sublime Throne.”

27:27 Juz 19 * Page 379

۞قَالَ سَنَنظُرُ أَصَدَقۡتَ أَمۡ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ 27

Qaala sananzuru asadaqta am kunta minal kaazibeen

قال He said,
سننظُرُ "We will see
أصدقْت whether you speak (the) truth
أمْ or
كُنت you are
من of
الْكذبين the liars.

He said, “We will see, whether you have spoken the truth, or whether you are a liar

27:28 Juz 19 * Page 379

ٱذۡهَب بِّكِتَٰبِي هَٰذَا فَأَلۡقِهۡ إِلَيۡهِمۡ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ فَٱنظُرۡ مَاذَا يَرۡجِعُونَ 28

Izhab bikitaabee haaza fa alqih ilaihim summma tawalla 'anhum fanzur maazaa yarji'oon

اذْهب Go
بكتبى with my letter,
هذا this,
فألْقهْ and deliver it
إليْهمْ to them.
ثُم Then
تول turn away
عنْهُمْ from them
فانظُرْ and see
ماذا what
يرْجعُون they return."

Go with this letter of mine, and deliver it to them; then withdraw from them, and see how they respond.”

27:29 Juz 19 * Page 379

قَالَتۡ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡمَلَؤُاْ إِنِّيٓ أُلۡقِيَ إِلَيَّ كِتَٰبࣱ كَرِيمٌ 29

Qaalat yaaa aiyuhal mala'u innee ulqiya ilaiya kitaabun kareem

قالتْ She said,
يأيُها "O
الْملؤُا chiefs!
إنى Indeed [I],
أُلْقى is delivered
إلىـ to me
كتب a letter
كريم noble.

She said, “O Counselors, a gracious letter was delivered to me

إِنَّهُۥ مِن سُلَيۡمَٰنَ وَإِنَّهُۥ بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ 30

Innahoo min Sulaimaana wa innahoo bismil laahir Rahmaanir Raheem

إنهُ Indeed, it
من (is) from
سُليْمن Sulaiman
وإنهُ and indeed it (is),
بسْم "In the name
الله (of) Allah,
الرحْمن the Most Gracious,
الرحيم the Most Merciful,

It is from Solomon, and it is, ‘In the Name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful

أَلَّا تَعۡلُواْ عَلَيَّ وَأۡتُونِي مُسۡلِمِينَ 31

Allaa ta'loo 'alaiya waa toonee muslimeen

ألا That not
تعْلُوا exalt yourselves
علىـ against me,
وأْتُونى but come to me
مُسْلمين (in) submission."

Do not defy me, and come to me submissively.’”

Qaalat yaaa aiyuhal mala'u aftoonee fee amree maa kuntu qaati'atan amran hattaa tashhhaddon

قالتْ She said,
يأيُها "O
الْملؤُا chiefs!
أفْتُونى Advise me
فى in
أمْرى my affair.
ما Not
كُنتُ I would be
قاطعةً the one to decide
أمْرًا any matter
حتى until
تشْهدُون you are present with me."

She said, “O counselors, advise me in this matter of mine. I never make a decision unless you are present.”

27:33 Juz 19 * Page 379

قَالُواْ نَحۡنُ أُوْلُواْ قُوَّةࣲ وَأُوْلُواْ بَأۡسࣲ شَدِيدࣲ وَٱلۡأَمۡرُ إِلَيۡكِ فَٱنظُرِي مَاذَا تَأۡمُرِينَ 33

Qaaloo nahnu uloo quwwatinw wa uloo baasin shadeed; wal amru ilaiki fanzuree maazaa taamureen

قالُوا They said,
نحْنُ "We
أُولُوا (are) possessors
قُوةٌ (of) strength
وأُولُوا and possessors
بأْسٌ (of) might
شديدٌ great,
والْأمْرُ and the command
إليْك (is) up to you,
فانظُرى so look
ماذا what
تأْمُرين you will command."

They said, “We are a people of might and great courage, but the decision is yours, so consider what you wish to command.”

27:34 Juz 19 * Page 379

قَالَتۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡمُلُوكَ إِذَا دَخَلُواْ قَرۡيَةً أَفۡسَدُوهَا وَجَعَلُوٓاْ أَعِزَّةَ أَهۡلِهَآ أَذِلَّةࣰۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ يَفۡعَلُونَ 34

Qaalat innal mulooka izaa dakhaloo qaryatan afsadoohaa wa ja'alooo a'izzata ahlihaaa azillah; wa kazaalika yaf'aloon

قالتْ She said,
إن "Indeed,
الْمُلُوك the kings,
إذا when
دخلُوا they enter
قرْيةً a town
أفْسدُوها they ruin it
وجعلُوا and make
أعزة (the) most honorable
أهْلها (of) its people
أذلةً (the) lowest.
وكذلك And thus
يفْعلُون they do.

She said, “When kings enter a city, they devastate it, and subjugate its dignified people. Thus they always do

27:35 Juz 19 * Page 379

وَإِنِّي مُرۡسِلَةٌ إِلَيۡهِم بِهَدِيَّةࣲ فَنَاظِرَةُۢ بِمَ يَرۡجِعُ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ 35

Wa innee mursilatun ilaihim bihadiyyatin fanaaziratum bima yarji'ul mursaloon

وإنى But indeed, I am
مُرْسلة going to send
إليْهم to them
بهديةٌ a gift
فناظرة and see
بم with what
يرْجعُ return
الْمُرْسلُون the messengers."

I am sending them a gift, and will see what the envoys bring back.”

27:36 Juz 19 * Page 380

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ سُلَيۡمَٰنَ قَالَ أَتُمِدُّونَنِ بِمَالࣲ فَمَآ ءَاتَىٰنِۦَ ٱللَّهُ خَيۡرࣱ مِّمَّآ ءَاتَىٰكُمۚ بَلۡ أَنتُم بِهَدِيَّتِكُمۡ تَفۡرَحُونَ 36

Falammaa jaaa'a Sulaimaana qaala atumiddoonani bimaalin famaaa aataakum bal antum bihadiy yatikum tafrahoon

فلما So when
جاء came
سُليْمن (to) Sulaiman
قال he said,
أتُمدُونن "Will you provide me
بمالٌ with wealth?
فما But what
ءاتىن Allah has given me
اللهُ Allah has given me
خيْر (is) better
مما than what
ءاتىكُم He has given you.
بلْ Nay,
أنتُم you
بهديتكُمْ in your gift
تفْرحُون rejoice.

When he came to Solomon, he said, “Are you supplying me with money? What God has given me is better than what He has given you. It is you who delight in your gift

27:37 Juz 19 * Page 380

ٱرۡجِعۡ إِلَيۡهِمۡ فَلَنَأۡتِيَنَّهُم بِجُنُودࣲ لَّا قِبَلَ لَهُم بِهَا وَلَنُخۡرِجَنَّهُم مِّنۡهَآ أَذِلَّةࣰ وَهُمۡ صَٰغِرُونَ 37

Irji' ilaihim falanaatiyan nahum bijunoodil laa qibala lahum bihaa wa lanukhri jannahum minhaaa azillatanw wa hum saaghiroon

ارْجعْ Return
إليْهمْ to them,
فلنأْتينهُم surely, we will come to them
بجُنُودٌ with hosts
لا not
قبل (is) resistance
لهُم for them
بها of it,
ولنُخْرجنهُم and surely, we will drive them out
منْها from there
أذلةً (in) humiliation,
وهُمْ and they
صغرُون (will be) abased."

Go back to them. We will come upon them with troops they cannot resist; and we will expel them from there, disgraced and humiliated.”

27:38 Juz 19 * Page 380

قَالَ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡمَلَؤُاْ أَيُّكُمۡ يَأۡتِينِي بِعَرۡشِهَا قَبۡلَ أَن يَأۡتُونِي مُسۡلِمِينَ 38

Qaala yaaa aiyuhal mala'u aiyukum yaateenee bi'arshihaa qabla ai yaatoonee muslimeen

قال He said,
يأيُها "O
الْملؤُا chiefs!
أيُكُمْ Which of you
يأْتينى will bring me
بعرْشها her throne
قبْل before
أن that
يأْتُونى they come to me
مُسْلمين (in) submission?"

He said, “O notables, which one of you will bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?”

27:39 Juz 19 * Page 380

قَالَ عِفۡرِيتࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ أَنَا۠ ءَاتِيكَ بِهِۦ قَبۡلَ أَن تَقُومَ مِن مَّقَامِكَۖ وَإِنِّي عَلَيۡهِ لَقَوِيٌّ أَمِينࣱ‏ 39

Qaala 'ifreetum minal jinni ana aateeka bihee qabla an taqooma mim maqaamika wa innee 'alaihi laqawiyyun ameen

قال Said
عفْريت a strong one
من of
الْجن the jinn,
أنا "I
ءاتيك will bring it to you
به will bring it to you
قبْل before
أن [that]
تقُوم you rise
من from
مقامك your place.
وإنى And indeed, I am
عليْه for it
لقوى surely, strong,
أمين trustworthy."

An imp of the sprites said, “I will bring it to you before you rise from your seat. I am strong and reliable enough to do it.”

27:40 Juz 19 * Page 380

قَالَ ٱلَّذِي عِندَهُۥ عِلۡمࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ أَنَا۠ ءَاتِيكَ بِهِۦ قَبۡلَ أَن يَرۡتَدَّ إِلَيۡكَ طَرۡفُكَۚ فَلَمَّا رَءَاهُ مُسۡتَقِرًّا عِندَهُۥ قَالَ هَٰذَا مِن فَضۡلِ رَبِّي لِيَبۡلُوَنِيٓ ءَأَشۡكُرُ أَمۡ أَكۡفُرُۖ وَمَن شَكَرَ فَإِنَّمَا يَشۡكُرُ لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ رَبِّي غَنِيࣱّ كَرِيمࣱ‏ 40

Qaalal lazee indahoo 'ilmum minal Kitaabi ana aateeka bihee qabla ai yartadda ilaika tarfuk; falammaa ra aahu mustaqirran 'indahoo qaala haazaa min fadli Rabbee li yabluwaneee 'a-ashkuru am akfuru wa man shakara fa innamaa yashkuru linafsihee wa man kafara fa inna Rabbee Ghaniyyun Kareem

قال Said
الذى one who,
عندهُ with him
علْم (was) knowledge
من of
الْكتب the Scripture,
أنا "I
ءاتيك will bring it to you
به will bring it to you
قبْل before
أن [that]
يرْتد returns
إليْك to you
طرْفُك your glance."
فلما Then when
رءاهُ he saw it
مُسْتقرًا placed
عندهُ before him,
قال he said,
هذا "This
من (is) from
فضْل (the) Favor
ربى (of) my Lord,
ليبْلُونى to test me
ءأشْكُرُ whether I am grateful
أمْ or
أكْفُرُ I am ungrateful.
ومن And whoever
شكر (is) grateful
فإنما then only
يشْكُرُ he is grateful
لنفْسه for his own soul.
ومن And whoever
كفر (is) ungrateful,
فإن then indeed,
ربى my Lord
غنى (is) Self-sufficient,
كريم Noble."

He who had knowledge from the Book said, “I will bring it to you before your glance returns to you.” And when he saw it settled before him, he said, “This is from the grace of my Lord, to test me, whether I am grateful or ungrateful. He who is grateful, his gratitude is to his own credit; but he who is ungrateful—my Lord is Independent and Generous.”

27:41 Juz 19 * Page 380

قَالَ نَكِّرُواْ لَهَا عَرۡشَهَا نَنظُرۡ أَتَهۡتَدِيٓ أَمۡ تَكُونُ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَهۡتَدُونَ 41

Qaala nakkiroo lahaa 'arshahaa nanzur atahtadeee am takoonu minal lazeena laa yahtadoon

قال He said,
نكرُوا "Disguise
لها for her
عرْشها her throne;
ننظُرْ we will see
أتهْتدى whether she will be guided
أمْ or
تكُونُ will be
من of
الذين those who
لا are not guided."
يهْتدُون are not guided."

He said, “Disguise her throne for her, and we shall see whether she will be guided, or remains one of the misguided.”

27:42 Juz 19 * Page 380

فَلَمَّا جَآءَتۡ قِيلَ أَهَٰكَذَا عَرۡشُكِۖ قَالَتۡ كَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَۚ وَأُوتِينَا ٱلۡعِلۡمَ مِن قَبۡلِهَا وَكُنَّا مُسۡلِمِينَ 42

Falammaa jaaa'at qeela ahaakaza 'arshuki qaalat kaanna hoo; wa ooteenal 'ilma min qablihaa wa kunnaa muslimeen

فلما So when
جاءتْ she came,
قيل it was said,
أهكذا "Is like this
عرْشُك your throne?"
قالتْ She said,
كأنهُ "It is like
هُو it."
وأُوتينا "And we were given
الْعلْم the knowledge
من before her
قبْلها before her
وكُنا and we have been
مُسْلمين Muslims."

When she arrived, it was said, “Is your throne like this?” She said, “As if this is it.” “We were given knowledge before her, and we were submissive.”

27:43 Juz 19 * Page 380

وَصَدَّهَا مَا كَانَت تَّعۡبُدُ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِۖ إِنَّهَا كَانَتۡ مِن قَوۡمࣲ كَٰفِرِينَ 43

Wa saddahaa maa kaanat ta'budu min doonil laahi innahaa kaanat min qawmin kaafireen

وصدها And has averted her
ما what
كانت she used (to)
تعْبُدُ worship
من besides
دُون besides
الله Allah.
إنها Indeed, she
كانتْ was
من from
قوْمٌ a people
كفرين who disbelieve.

But she was prevented by what she worshiped besides God; she belonged to a disbelieving people

27:44 Juz 19 * Page 380

قِيلَ لَهَا ٱدۡخُلِي ٱلصَّرۡحَۖ فَلَمَّا رَأَتۡهُ حَسِبَتۡهُ لُجَّةࣰ وَكَشَفَتۡ عَن سَاقَيۡهَاۚ قَالَ إِنَّهُۥ صَرۡحࣱ مُّمَرَّدࣱ مِّن قَوَارِيرَۗ قَالَتۡ رَبِّ إِنِّي ظَلَمۡتُ نَفۡسِي وَأَسۡلَمۡتُ مَعَ سُلَيۡمَٰنَ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ 44

Qeela lahad khulis sarha falammaa ra at hu hasibat hu lujjatanw wa khashafat 'an saaqaihaa; qaala innahoo sarhum mumarradum min qawaareer; qaalat Rabbi innee zalamtu nafsee wa aslamtu ma'a Sulaimaana lillaahi Rabbil 'aalameen

قيل It was said
لها to her,
ادْخُلى "Enter
الصرْح the palace."
فلما Then when
رأتْهُ she saw it,
حسبتْهُ she thought it
لُجةً (was) a pool,
وكشفتْ and she uncovered
عن [on]
ساقيْها her shins.
قال He said,
إنهُ "Indeed, it
صرْح (is) a palace
مُمرد made smooth
من of
قوارير glass."
قالتْ She said,
ربـ "My Lord,
إنى indeed, I
ظلمْتُ [I] have wronged
نفْسى myself,
وأسْلمْتُ and I submit
مع with
سُليْمن Sulaiman
لله to Allah,
رب (the) Lord
الْعلمين (of) the worlds."

It was said to her, “Go inside the palace.” And when she saw it, she thought it was a deep pond, and she bared her legs. He said, “It is a palace paved with glass.” She said, “My Lord, I have done wrong to myself, and I have submitted with Solomon, to God, Lord of the Worlds.”

Inheritance

وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمۡ صَٰلِحًا أَنِ ٱعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ فَإِذَا هُمۡ فَرِيقَانِ يَخۡتَصِمُونَ 45

Wa laqad arsalnaaa ilaa Samoda akhaahum Saalihan ani'budul lahha fa izaa hum fareeqaani yakhtasimoon

ولقدْ And certainly,
أرْسلْنا We sent
إلى to
ثمُود Thamud
أخاهُمْ their brother
صلحًا Salih
أن that,
اعْبُدُوا "Worship
الله Allah."
فإذا Then behold!
هُمْ They
فريقان (became) two parties
يخْتصمُون quarreling.

And We sent to Thamood their brother Saleh: “Worship God.” But they became two disputing factions

27:46 Juz 19 * Page 381

قَالَ يَٰقَوۡمِ لِمَ تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ قَبۡلَ ٱلۡحَسَنَةِۖ لَوۡلَا تَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُونَ 46

Qaala yaa qawmi lima tasta'jiloona bissaiyi'ati qablal hasanati law laa tas taghfiroonal laaha la'allakum turhamoon

قال He said,
يقوْمـ "O my people!
لم Why
تسْتعْجلُون (do) you seek to hasten
بالسيئة the evil
قبْل before
الْحسنة the good?
لوْلا Why not
تسْتغْفرُون you ask forgiveness
الله (of) Allah
لعلكُمْ so that you may
تُرْحمُون receive mercy?"

He said, “O my people, why are you quick to do evil rather than good? If only you would seek God’s forgiveness, so that you may be shown mercy.”

27:47 Juz 19 * Page 381

قَالُواْ ٱطَّيَّرۡنَا بِكَ وَبِمَن مَّعَكَۚ قَالَ طَٰٓئِرُكُمۡ عِندَ ٱللَّهِۖ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ قَوۡمࣱ تُفۡتَنُونَ 47

Qaalut taiyarnaa bika wa bimam ma'ak; qaala taaa'irukum 'indal laahi bal antum qawmun tuftanoon

قالُوا They said,
اطيرْنا "We consider you a bad omen
بك "We consider you a bad omen
وبمن and those
معك with you."
قال He said,
طئرُكُمْ "Your bad omen
عند (is) with
الله Allah.
بلْ Nay,
أنتُمْ you
قوْم (are) a people
تُفْتنُون being tested."

They said, “We consider you an ill omen, and those with you.” He said, “Your omen is with God. In fact, you are a people being tested.”

27:48 Juz 19 * Page 381
Justice & Testimony

وَكَانَ فِي ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ تِسۡعَةُ رَهۡطࣲ يُفۡسِدُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا يُصۡلِحُونَ 48

Wa kaana fil madeenati tis'atu rahtiny yufsidoona fil ardi wa laa yuslihoon

وكان And were
فى in
الْمدينة the city
تسْعةُ nine
رهْطٌ family heads,
يُفْسدُون they were spreading corruption
فى in
الْأرْض the land
ولا and not
يُصْلحُون reforming.

In the city was a gang of nine who made mischief in the land and did no good

27:49 Juz 19 * Page 381

قَالُواْ تَقَاسَمُواْ بِٱللَّهِ لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُۥ وَأَهۡلَهُۥ ثُمَّ لَنَقُولَنَّ لِوَلِيِّهِۦ مَا شَهِدۡنَا مَهۡلِكَ أَهۡلِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَ 49

Qaaloo taqaasamoo billaahi lanubaiyitannahoo wa ahlahoo summaa lanaqoolana liwaliy yihee maa shahidnaa mahlika ahliee wa innaa lasaadiqoon

قالُوا They said,
تقاسمُوا "Swear to each other
بالله by Allah
لنُبيتنهُ surely, we will attack him by night,
وأهْلهُ and his family.
ثُم Then
لنقُولن we will surely say
لوليه to his heir,
ما "Not
شهدْنا we witnessed
مهْلك (the) destruction
أهْله (of) his family,
وإنا and indeed, we
لصدقُون (are) surely truthful."

They said, “Swear by God to one another that we will attack him and his family by night, and then tell his guardian, 'We did not witness the murder of his family, and we are being truthful.'“

27:50 Juz 19 * Page 381

وَمَكَرُواْ مَكۡرࣰ ا وَمَكَرۡنَا مَكۡرࣰ ا وَهُمۡ لَا يَشۡعُرُونَ 50

Wa makaroo makranw wa makarnaa makranw wa hum laa yash'uroon

ومكرُوا So they plotted
مكْرًا a plot
ومكرْنا and We planned
مكْرًا a plan,
وهُمْ while they
لا (did) not
يشْعُرُون perceive.

They planned a plan, and We planned a plan, but they did not notice

فَٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ مَكۡرِهِمۡ أَنَّا دَمَّرۡنَٰهُمۡ وَقَوۡمَهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ 51

Fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatu makrihim annaa dammar naahum wa qawmahum ajma'een

فانظُرْ Then see
كيْف how
كان was
عقبةُ (the) end
مكْرهمْ (of) their plot,
أنا that We
دمرْنهُمْ destroyed them
وقوْمهُمْ and their people
أجْمعين all.

So note the outcome of their planning; We destroyed them and their people, altogether

27:52 Juz 19 * Page 381

فَتِلۡكَ بُيُوتُهُمۡ خَاوِيَةَۢ بِمَا ظَلَمُوٓاْۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةࣰ لِّقَوۡمࣲ يَعۡلَمُونَ 52

Fatilka buyootuhum khaa wiyatam bimaa zalamoo; inna fee zaalika la Aayatal liqaw miny-ya'lamoon

فتلْك So, these
بُيُوتُهُمْ (are) their houses,
خاويةً ruined
بما because
ظلمُوا they wronged.
إن Indeed,
فى in
ذلك that
لءايةً surely, is a sign
لقوْمٌ for a people
يعْلمُون who know.

Here are their homes, in ruins, on account of their iniquities. Surely in this is a sign for people who know

27:53 Juz 19 * Page 381

وَأَنجَيۡنَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَكَانُواْ يَتَّقُونَ 53

Wa anjainal lazeena aamanoo wa kaanoo yattaqoon

وأنجيْنا And We saved
الذين those who
ءامنُوا believed
وكانُوا and used (to)
يتقُون fear (Allah).

And We saved those who believed and were pious

27:54 Juz 19 * Page 381

وَلُوطًا إِذۡ قَالَ لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ أَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلۡفَٰحِشَةَ وَأَنتُمۡ تُبۡصِرُونَ 54

Wa lootan iz qaala liqawmiheee ataatoonal faa hishata wa antum qawmun tajjhaloon

ولُوطًا And Lut,
إذْ when
قال he said
لقوْمه to his people,
أتأْتُون "Do you commit
الْفحشة [the] immorality
وأنتُمْ while you
تُبْصرُون see?

And Lot, when he said to his people, “Do you commit lewdness with open eyes

27:55 Juz 19 * Page 381

أَئِنَّكُمۡ لَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلرِّجَالَ شَهۡوَةࣰ مِّن دُونِ ٱلنِّسَآءِۚ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ قَوۡمࣱ تَجۡهَلُونَ 55

A'innakum lataatoonar rijaala shahwatam min doonin nisaaa'; bal antum qawmun tajhaloon

أئنكُمْ Why do you
لتأْتُون approach
الرجال the men
شهْوةً (with) lust
من instead of
دُون instead of
النساء the women?
بلْ Nay,
أنتُمْ you
قوْم (are) a people
تجْهلُون ignorant."

Do you lust after men instead of women? You are truly ignorant people.”

27:56 Juz 20 * Page 382

۞فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوۡمِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓاْ أَخۡرِجُوٓاْ ءَالَ لُوطࣲ مِّن قَرۡيَتِكُمۡۖ إِنَّهُمۡ أُنَاسࣱ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ 56

Fammaa kaana jawaaba qawmiheee illaaa an qaalooo akrijoon aalaa Lootim min qaryatikum innahum unaasuny yatatahharoon

فما But not
كان was
جواب (the) answer
قوْمه (of) his people
إلا except
أن that
قالُوا they said,
أخْرجُوا "Drive out
ءال (the) family
لُوطٌ (of) Lut
من from
قرْيتكُمْ your town.
إنهُمْ Indeed, they
أُناس (are) people
يتطهرُون who keep clean and pure."

But the only response of his people was to say, “Expel the family of Lot from your town. They are purist people.”

27:57 Juz 20 * Page 382

فَأَنجَيۡنَٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرۡنَٰهَا مِنَ ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ 57

Fa anjainaahu wa ahlahooo illam ra atahoo qaddarnaahaa minal ghaabireen

فأنجيْنهُ So We saved him
وأهْلهُ and his family,
إلا except
امْرأتهُ his wife;
قدرْنها We destined her
من (to be) of
الْغبرين those who remained behind.

So We saved him and his family, except for his wife, whom We destined to be among the laggards

27:58 Juz 20 * Page 382

وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِم مَّطَرࣰ اۖ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِينَ 58

Wa amtarnaa 'alaihimm mataran fasaaa'a matarul munzareen

وأمْطرْنا And We rained
عليْهم upon them
مطرًا a rain,
فساء and was evil
مطرُ (the) rain
الْمُنذرين (on) those who were warned.

And We rained upon them a rain. Miserable was the rain of those forewarned

قُلِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱصۡطَفَىٰٓۗ ءَآللَّهُ خَيۡرٌ أَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ 59

Qulil hamdu lillaahi wa salaamun 'alaa 'ibaadihil lazeenas tafaa; aaallaahu khairun ammmaa yushrikoon

قُل Say,
الْحمْدُ "All praise (be)
لله to Allah,
وسلم and peace (be)
على upon
عباده His slaves
الذين those whom
اصْطفى He has chosen.
ءاللهُ Is Allah
خيْر better
أما or what
يُشْركُون they associate (with Him)?"

Say, “Praise God, and peace be upon His servants whom He has selected. Is God better, or what they associate?”

27:60 Juz 20 * Page 382

أَمَّنۡ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَأَنزَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءࣰ فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا بِهِۦ حَدَآئِقَ ذَاتَ بَهۡجَةࣲ مَّا كَانَ لَكُمۡ أَن تُنۢبِتُواْ شَجَرَهَآۗ أَءِلَٰهࣱ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمࣱ يَعۡدِلُونَ 60

Amman khalaqas samaawaati wal arda wa anzala lakum minas samaaa'i maaa'an fa ambatnaa bihee hadaaa'iqa zaata bahjjah; maa kanna lakum an tumbitoo shajarahaa; 'a-ilaahum ma'al laah; bal hum qawmuny ya'diloon

أمنْ Or Who
خلق has created
السموت the heavens
والْأرْض and the earth
وأنزل and sent down
لكُم for you
من from
السماء the sky
ماءً water?
فأنبتْنا And We caused to grow
به thereby
حدائق gardens
ذات of beauty (and delight),
بهْجةٌ of beauty (and delight),
ما not
كان it is
لكُمْ for you
أن that
تُنبتُوا you cause to grow
شجرها their trees.
أءله Is there any god
مع with
الله Allah?
بلْ Nay,
هُمْ they
قوْم (are) a people
يعْدلُون who ascribe equals.

Or, who created the heavens and the earth, and rains down water from the sky for you? With it We produce gardens full of beauty, whose trees you could not have produced. Is there another god with God? But they are a people who equate

27:61 Juz 20 * Page 382

أَمَّن جَعَلَ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ قَرَارࣰ ا وَجَعَلَ خِلَٰلَهَآ أَنۡهَٰرࣰ ا وَجَعَلَ لَهَا رَوَٰسِيَ وَجَعَلَ بَيۡنَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ حَاجِزًاۗ أَءِلَٰهࣱ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ بَلۡ أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ 61

Ammann ja'alal arda qaraaranw wa ja'ala khilaalahaaa anhaaranw wa ja'ala lahaa rawaasiya wa ja'ala bainal bahraini haajizaa; 'a-ilaahumma'allah; bal aksaruhum la ya'lamoon

أمن Or Who
جعل made
الْأرْض the earth
قرارًا a firm abode
وجعل and made
خللها (in) its midst
أنْهرًا rivers
وجعل and made
لها for it
روسى firm mountains
وجعل and made
بيْن between
الْبحْريْن the two seas
حاجزًا a barrier?
أءله Is there any god
مع with
الله Allah?
بلْ Nay,
أكْثرُهُمْ most of them
لا (do) not
يعْلمُون know.

Or, who made the earth habitable, and made rivers flow through it, and set mountains on it, and placed a partition between the two seas? Is there another god with God? But most of them do not know

27:62 Juz 20 * Page 382

أَمَّن يُجِيبُ ٱلۡمُضۡطَرَّ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيَكۡشِفُ ٱلسُّوٓءَ وَيَجۡعَلُكُمۡ خُلَفَآءَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ أَءِلَٰهࣱ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ قَلِيلࣰ ا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ 62

Ammany-yujeebul mud tarra izaa da'aahu wa yakshifussooo'a wa yaj'alukum khula faaa'al ardi 'a-ilaahum ma'al laahi qaleelam maa tazak karoon

أمن Or Who
يُجيبُ responds
الْمُضْطر (to) the distressed one
إذا when
دعاهُ he calls Him
ويكْشفُ and He removes
السُوء the evil
ويجْعلُكُمْ and makes you
خُلفاء inheritors
الْأرْض (of) the earth?
أءله Is there any god
مع with
الله Allah?
قليلًا Little
ما (is) what
تذكرُون you remember.

Or, who answers the one in need when he prays to Him, and relieves adversity, and makes you successors on earth? Is there another god with God? How hardly you pay attention

27:63 Juz 20 * Page 382

أَمَّن يَهۡدِيكُمۡ فِي ظُلُمَٰتِ ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ وَمَن يُرۡسِلُ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ بُشۡرَۢا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡ رَحۡمَتِهِۦٓۗ أَءِلَٰهࣱ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ تَعَٰلَى ٱللَّهُ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ 63

Ammany-yahdeekum fee zulumaatil barri wal bahri wa many yursilu riyaaha bushram baina yadai rahmatih; 'a-ilaahum ma'al laah; Ta'aalal laahu 'ammaa yushrikoon

أمن Or Who,
يهْديكُمْ guides you
فى in
ظُلُمت (the) darkness[es]
الْبر (of) the land
والْبحْر and the sea
ومن and Who
يُرْسلُ sends
الريح the winds
بُشْرًا (as) glad tidings
بيْن before
يدىْ before
رحْمته His Mercy?
أءله Is there any god
مع with
الله Allah?
تعلى High is
اللهُ Allah
عما above what
يُشْركُون they associate (with Him).

Or, who guides you through the darkness of land and sea, and who sends the winds as heralds of His mercy? Is there another god with God? Most exalted is God, above what they associate

27:64 Juz 20 * Page 383

أَمَّن يَبۡدَؤُاْ ٱلۡخَلۡقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ وَمَن يَرۡزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ أَءِلَٰهࣱ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ قُلۡ هَاتُواْ بُرۡهَٰنَكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ 64

Ammmany-yabda'ul khalqa summa yu'eeduhoo wa many-yarzuqukum minas sammaaa'i wal ard; 'a-ilaahum ma'allah; qul haatoo burhaanakum in kuntum saadiqeen

أمن Or Who
يبْدؤُا originates
الْخلْق the creation
ثُم then
يُعيدُهُ repeats it
ومن and Who
يرْزُقُكُم provides you
من from
السماء the heavens
والْأرْض and the earth?
أءله Is there any god
مع with
الله Allah?
قُلْ Say,
هاتُوا "Bring forth
بُرْهنكُمْ your proof
إن if
كُنتُمْ you are
صدقين truthful."

Or, who originates the creation and then repeats it, and who gives you livelihood from the sky and the earth? Is there another god with God? Say, “Produce your evidence, if you are truthful.”

بَلِ ٱدَّٰرَكَ عِلۡمُهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ فِي شَكࣲّ مِّنۡهَاۖ بَلۡ هُم مِّنۡهَا عَمُونَ 66

Balid daaraka 'ilmuhum fil Aakhirah; bal hum fee shakkim minhaa bal hum minhaa 'amoon

بل Nay,
ادرك is arrested
علْمُهُمْ their knowledge

الْءاخرة the Hereafter?

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَءِذَا كُنَّا تُرَٰبࣰ ا وَءَابَآؤُنَآ أَئِنَّا لَمُخۡرَجُونَ 67

Wa qaalal lazeena kafarooo 'a-izaa kunnaa turaabanw wa aabaaa'unaaa a'innaa lamukhrajoon

وقال And say

تُربًا dust
وءاباؤُنا and our forefathers,

Those who disbelieve say, “When we have become dust, and our ancestors, shall we be brought out

لَقَدۡ وُعِدۡنَا هَٰذَا نَحۡنُ وَءَابَآؤُنَا مِن قَبۡلُ إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ 68

Laqad wu'idnaa haazaa nahnu wa aabaaa'unaa min qablu in haazaaa illaaa asaateerul awwaleen

لقدْ Certainly,
وُعدْنا we have been promised
هذا this,
نحْنُ we
وءاباؤُنا and our forefathers
من before.
قبْلُ before.
إنْ Not
هذا (is) this
إلا except
أسطيرُ tales
الْأولين (of) the former (people)."

We were promised that before, we and our ancestors—these are nothing but legends of the ancients.”

27:69 Juz 20 * Page 383

قُلۡ سِيرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱنظُرُواْ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ 69

Qul seeroo fil ardi fanzuroo kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul mujremeen

قُلْ Say,
سيرُوا "Travel
فى in
الْأرْض the land,
فانظُرُوا and see
كيْف how
كان was
عقبةُ (the) end
الْمُجْرمين (of) the criminals."

Say, travel through the earth, and observe the fate of the guilty.”

صدقين truthful."

And they say, “When is this promise, if you are truthful?”

27:72 Juz 20 * Page 383

قُلۡ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ رَدِفَ لَكُم بَعۡضُ ٱلَّذِي تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ 72

Qul 'asaaa any-yakoona radifa lakum ba'dul lazee tasta'jiloon

قُلْ Say,
عسى "Perhaps
أن that
يكُون is
ردف close behind
لكُم you,
بعْضُ some
الذى (of) that which
تسْتعْجلُون you seek to hasten."

Say, “Perhaps some of what you are impatient for has drawn near.”

27:73 Juz 20 * Page 383

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو فَضۡلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَشۡكُرُونَ 73

Wa innna Rabbaka lazoo fadlin 'alan naasi wa laakina aksarahum laa yashkuroon

وإن And indeed,
ربك your Lord
لذُو (is) full of Bounty
فضْلٌ (is) full of Bounty
على for
الناس the mankind,
ولكن but
أكْثرهُمْ most of them
لا (are) not
يشْكُرُون grateful.

Your Lord is gracious towards humanity, but most of them are not thankful

27:74 Juz 20 * Page 383

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَيَعۡلَمُ مَا تُكِنُّ صُدُورُهُمۡ وَمَا يُعۡلِنُونَ 74

Wa inna Rabbaka la ya'lamu maa tukinnu sudooruhum wa maa yu'linoon

وإن And indeed,
ربك your Lord
ليعْلمُ surely knows
ما what
تُكنُ conceals
صُدُورُهُمْ their breasts
وما and what
يُعْلنُون they declare.

And your Lord knows what their hearts conceal, and what they reveal

27:75 Juz 20 * Page 383

وَمَا مِنۡ غَآئِبَةࣲ فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّا فِي كِتَٰبࣲ مُّبِينٍ 75

Wa maa min ghaaa'ibatin fis samaaa'i wal ardi illaa fee kitaabimm mubeen

وما And not (is)
منْ any (thing)
غائبةٌ hidden
فى in
السماء the heavens
والْأرْض and the earth
إلا but
فى (is) in
كتبٌ a Record
مُبينٌ clear.

There is no mystery in the heaven and the earth, but it is in a Clear Book

27:76 Juz 20 * Page 383

إِنَّ هَٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ يَقُصُّ عَلَىٰ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلَّذِي هُمۡ فِيهِ يَخۡتَلِفُونَ 76

Inna haazal Qur-aana yaqussu 'alaa Baneee israaa'eela aksaral lazee hum feehi yakhtalifoon

إن Indeed,
هذا this
الْقُرْءان [the] Quran
يقُصُ relates
على to
بنى (the) Children
إسْرءيل (of) Israel,
أكْثر most
الذى (of) that
هُمْ they
فيه in it
يخْتلفُون differ.

This Quran relates to the Children of Israel most of what they differ about

27:77 Juz 20 * Page 384

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَهُدࣰ ى وَرَحۡمَةࣱ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ 77

Wa innahoo lahudanw wa rahmatul lilmu'mineen

وإنهُ And indeed, it
لهُدًى (is) surely a guidance
ورحْمة and a mercy
للْمُؤْمنين for the believers.

And it is guidance and mercy for the believers

27:78 Juz 20 * Page 384
Justice & Testimony

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقۡضِي بَيۡنَهُم بِحُكۡمِهِۦۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ 78

Inna Rabbaka yaqdee bainahum bihukmih; wa Huwal 'Azeezul 'Aleem

إن Indeed,
ربك your Lord
يقْضى will judge
بيْنهُم between them
بحُكْمه by His Judgment,
وهُو and He
الْعزيزُ (is) the All-Mighty,
الْعليمُ the All-Knower.

Your Lord will judge between them by His wisdom. He is the Almighty, the All-Knowing

27:79 Juz 20 * Page 384

فَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَى ٱلۡحَقِّ ٱلۡمُبِينِ 79

Fatawakkal 'alal laahi innaka 'alal haqqil mubeen

فتوكلْ So put your trust
على in
الله Allah,
إنك indeed, you
على (are) on
الْحق the truth
الْمُبين manifest.

So rely on God. You are upon the clear truth

27:80 Juz 20 * Page 384

إِنَّكَ لَا تُسۡمِعُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَلَا تُسۡمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ ٱلدُّعَآءَ إِذَا وَلَّوۡاْ مُدۡبِرِينَ 80

Innaka laa tusmi'ul mawtaa wa laa tusmi'us summad du'aaa izaa wallaw mudbireen

إنك Indeed, you
لا (can) not
تُسْمعُ cause to hear
الْموْتى the dead
ولا and not
تُسْمعُ can you cause to hear
الصُم the deaf
الدُعاء the call
إذا when
ولوْا they turn back
مُدْبرين retreating.

You cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear the call if they turn their backs and flee

وَمَآ أَنتَ بِهَٰدِي ٱلۡعُمۡيِ عَن ضَلَٰلَتِهِمۡۖ إِن تُسۡمِعُ إِلَّا مَن يُؤۡمِنُ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَهُم مُّسۡلِمُونَ 81

Wa maaa anta bihaadil 'umyi 'an dalaalatihim in tusmi'u illaa mai yu'minu bi aayaatinaa fahum muslimoon

وما And not
أنت (can) you
بهدى guide
الْعُمْى the blind
عن from
ضللتهمْ their error.
إن Not
تُسْمعُ you can cause to hear
إلا except
من (those) who
يُؤْمنُ believe
بـايتنا in Our Signs
فهُم so they
مُسْلمُون (are) Muslims.

Nor can you guide the blind out of their straying. You can make no one listen, except those who believe in Our verses; for they are Muslims

Wa Yawma nahshuru min kulli ummmatin fawjam mim many-yukazzibu bi Aayaatinaa fahum yooza'oon

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءُو قَالَ أَكَذَّبۡتُم بِـَٔايَٰتِي وَلَمۡ تُحِيطُواْ بِهَا عِلۡمًا أَمَّاذَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ 84

Hattaaa izaa jaaa'oo qaala akazzabtum bi Aayaatee wa lam tuheetoo bihaa 'ilman ammaazaa kuntum ta'maloon

حتى Until,
إذا when
جاءُو they come,
قال He will say,
أكذبْتُم "Did you deny
بـايتى My Signs
ولمْ while not
تُحيطُوا you encompassed
بها them
علْمًا (in) knowledge,
أماذا or what
كُنتُمْ you used (to)
تعْملُون do?"

Until, when they arrive, He will say, “Did you reject My revelations without comprehending them? Or what is it you were doing?”

27:85 Juz 20 * Page 384

وَوَقَعَ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَيۡهِم بِمَا ظَلَمُواْ فَهُمۡ لَا يَنطِقُونَ 85

Wa waqa'al qawlu 'alaihim bimaa zalamoo fahum laa yantiqoon

ووقع And (will be) fulfilled
الْقوْلُ the word
عليْهم against them
بما because
ظلمُوا they wronged,
فهُمْ and they
لا (will) not
ينطقُون speak.

The Word will come down upon them for their wrongdoing, and they will not speak

أَلَمۡ يَرَوۡاْ أَنَّا جَعَلۡنَا ٱلَّيۡلَ لِيَسۡكُنُواْ فِيهِ وَٱلنَّهَارَ مُبۡصِرًاۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتࣲ لِّقَوۡمࣲ يُؤۡمِنُونَ 86

Alam yaraw annaa ja'alnal laila li yaskunoo feehi wannahaara mubsiraa; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqaw miny-yu'minoon

ألمْ Do not
يروْا they see
أنا that We
جعلْنا [We] have made
اليْل the night
ليسْكُنُوا that they may rest
فيه in it,
والنهار and the day
مُبْصرًا giving visibility?
إن Indeed,

لءايتٌ surely (are) Signs
لقوْمٌ for a people
يُؤْمنُون who believe.

Do they not see that We made the night for them to rest therein, and the day for visibility? Surely in that are signs for people who believe

وَتَرَى ٱلۡجِبَالَ تَحۡسَبُهَا جَامِدَةࣰ وَهِيَ تَمُرُّ مَرَّ ٱلسَّحَابِۚ صُنۡعَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَتۡقَنَ كُلَّ شَيۡءٍۚ إِنَّهُۥ خَبِيرُۢ بِمَا تَفۡعَلُونَ 88

Wa taral jibaala tahsabuhaa jaamidatanw wa hiya tamurru marras sahaab; sun'al laahil lazeee atqana kulla shai'; innahoo khabeerum bimaa taf'aloon

وترى And you see
الْجبال the mountains,
تحْسبُها thinking them
جامدةً firmly fixed,
وهى while they
تمُرُ will pass
مر (as the) passing
السحاب (of) the clouds.
صُنْع (The) Work
الله (of) Allah
الذى Who
أتْقن perfected
كُل all
شىْءٌ things.
إنهُ Indeed, He
خبير (is) All-Aware

تفْعلُون you do.

And you see the mountains, and imagine them fixed, yet they pass, as the passing of the clouds—the making of God, who has perfected everything. He is fully Informed of what you do

مَن جَآءَ بِٱلۡحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُۥ خَيۡرࣱ مِّنۡهَا وَهُم مِّن فَزَعࣲ يَوۡمَئِذٍ ءَامِنُونَ 89

Man jaaa'a bilhasanati falahoo khairum minhaa wa hum min faza'iny Yawma'izin aaminoon

من Whoever
جاء comes
بالْحسنة with the good,
فلهُ then for him
خيْر (will be) better
منْها than it,
وهُم and they,
من from
فزعٌ (the) terror
يوْمئذٌ (of) that Day
ءامنُون (will be) safe.

Whoever brings a virtue will receive better than it—and they will be safe from the horrors of that Day

وَمَن جَآءَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ فَكُبَّتۡ وُجُوهُهُمۡ فِي ٱلنَّارِ هَلۡ تُجۡزَوۡنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ 90

Wa man jaaa'a bissai yi'ati fakubbat wujoohuhum fin Naari hal tujzawna illaa maa kuntum ta'maloon

ومن And whoever
جاء comes
بالسيئة with the evil,
فكُبتْ will be cast down
وُجُوهُهُمْ their faces
فى in
النار the Fire.
هلْ "Are
تُجْزوْن you recompensed
إلا except
ما (for) what
كُنتُمْ you used (to)
تعْملُون do?"

But whoever brings evil—their faces will be tumbled into the Fire. Will you be rewarded except for what you used to do

إِنَّمَآ أُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَعۡبُدَ رَبَّ هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡبَلۡدَةِ ٱلَّذِي حَرَّمَهَا وَلَهُۥ كُلُّ شَيۡءࣲۖ وَأُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ 91

Innamaaa umirtu an a'buda Rabba haazihil baldatil lazee harramahaa wa lahoo kullu shai'inw wa umirtu an akoona minal muslimeen

إنما "Only
أُمرْتُ I am commanded
أنْ that
أعْبُد I worship
رب (the) Lord
هذه (of) this
الْبلْدة city,
الذى the One Who
حرمها made it sacred

“I was commanded to worship the Lord of this town, who has sanctified it, and to Whom everything belongs; and I was commanded to be of those who submit

وَأَنۡ أَتۡلُوَاْ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَۖ فَمَنِ ٱهۡتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَهۡتَدِي لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَقُلۡ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنذِرِينَ 92

Wa an atluwal Qur-aana famanih tadaa fa innnamaa yahtadee linafsihee wa man dalla faqul innamaaa ana minal munzireen

وأنْ And that
أتْلُوا I recite
الْقُرْءان the Quran."
فمن And whoever
اهْتدى accepts guidance
فإنما then only
يهْتدى he accepts guidance
لنفْسه for himself;
ومن and whoever
ضل goes astray
فقُلْ then say,
إنما "Only
أنا I am
من of
الْمُنذرين the warners."

And to recite the Quran.” Whoever is guided—is guided to his own advantage. And whoever goes astray, then say, “I am one of the warners.”

27:93 Juz 20 * Page 385

وَقُلِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ سَيُرِيكُمۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ فَتَعۡرِفُونَهَاۚ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ 93

Wa qulil hamdu lillaahi sa yureekum Aayaatihee fata'ri foonahaa; wa maa Rabbuka bighaaflin 'ammaa ta'maloon

وقُل And say,
الْحمْدُ "All praise (be)
لله to Allah,
سيُريكُمْ He will show you
ءايته His Signs,
فتعْرفُونها and you will recognize them.
وما And your Lord is not
ربُك And your Lord is not
بغفلٌ unaware
عما of what
تعْملُون you do."

And say, “Praise belongs to God; He will show you His signs, and you will recognize them. Your Lord is not heedless of what you do.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ قَالَتْ إِنَّمَا قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ إِنَّهُمْ لَيَعْلَمُونَ الآنَ أَنَّ مَا كُنْتُ أَقُولُ حَقٌّ وَقَدْ قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى ‏{‏إِنَّكَ لاَ تُسْمِعُ الْمَوْتَى‏}‏‏"‏

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "They now realize that what I used to tell them was the truth. "And Allah said, 'Verily! You cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them, and similarly the disbelievers) nor can you make the deaf hear. (27.80).

حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ - أَخْبَرَنَا عَوْفٌ الأَعْرَابِيُّ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ الْفَارِسِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، بِمَعْنَاهُ قَالَ فِيهِ فَقُبِضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَلَمْ يُبَيِّنْ لَنَا أَنَّهَا مِنْهَا ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ الشَّعْبِيُّ وَأَبُو مَالِكٍ وَقَتَادَةُ وَثَابِتُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَمْ يَكْتُبْ ‏{‏ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ ‏}‏ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ سُورَةُ النَّمْلِ هَذَا مَعْنَاهُ ‏.‏

The apostle of Allah (ﷺ) died, but he did not mention to us that surah al baraah ins a part of al-anfal. Abu Dawood said: Al-sha’bl, Abu Malik, Qatadah, and Thabit b. ‘Umarah said: The prophet( may peace be upon him) did not write”In the name of Allah, the compassionate, the merciful” until Surah al-naml was revealed. This is the meaning of what they said. Further, this is a mursal traditional(omitting the name of the companion)
