تَبَٰرَكَ ٱلَّذِي بِيَدِهِ ٱلۡمُلۡكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءࣲ قَدِيرٌ 1
Tabaarakal lazee biyadihil mulku wa huwa 'alaa kulli shai-in qadeer
Blessed is He in whose hand is the sovereignty, and Who has power over everything
ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ وَٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ لِيَبۡلُوَكُمۡ أَيُّكُمۡ أَحۡسَنُ عَمَلࣰ اۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡغَفُورُ 2
Allazee khalaqal mawta walhayaata liyabluwakum ayyukum ahsanu 'amalaa; wa huwal 'azeezul ghafoor
He who created death and life—to test you—as to which of you is better in conduct. He is the Almighty, the Forgiving
ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبۡعَ سَمَٰوَٰتࣲ طِبَاقࣰ اۖ مَّا تَرَىٰ فِي خَلۡقِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ مِن تَفَٰوُتࣲۖ فَٱرۡجِعِ ٱلۡبَصَرَ هَلۡ تَرَىٰ مِن فُطُورࣲ 3
Allazee khalaqa sab'a samaawaatin tibaaqam maa taraa fee khalqir rahmaani min tafaawutin farji'il basara hal taraa min futoor
He who created seven heavens in layers. You see no discrepancy in the creation of the Compassionate. Look again. Can you see any cracks
ثُمَّ ٱرۡجِعِ ٱلۡبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيۡنِ يَنقَلِبۡ إِلَيۡكَ ٱلۡبَصَرُ خَاسِئࣰ ا وَهُوَ حَسِيرࣱ 4
Summar ji'il basara karrataini yanqalib ilaikal basaru khaasi'anw wa huwa haseer
Then look again, and again, and your sight will return to you dazzled and exhausted
وَلَقَدۡ زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا بِمَصَٰبِيحَ وَجَعَلۡنَٰهَا رُجُومࣰ ا لِّلشَّيَٰطِينِۖ وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا لَهُمۡ عَذَابَ ٱلسَّعِيرِ 5
Wa laqad zaiyannas samaaa'ad dunyaa bimasaa beeha wa ja'alnaahaa rujoomal lish shayaateeni wa a'tadnaa lahum 'azaabas sa'eer
We have adorned the lower heaven with lanterns, and made them missiles against the devils; and We have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze
وَلِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِرَبِّهِمۡ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ 6
Wa lillazeena kafaroo bi rabbihim 'azaabu jahannama wa bi'sal maseer
For those who reject their Lord, there is the torment of Hell. What an evil destination
إِذَآ أُلۡقُواْ فِيهَا سَمِعُواْ لَهَا شَهِيقࣰ ا وَهِيَ تَفُورُ 7
Izaaa ulqoo feehaa sami'oo lahaa shaheeqanw wa hiya tafoor
When they are thrown into it, they will hear it roaring, as it seethes
تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ ٱلۡغَيۡظِۖ كُلَّمَآ أُلۡقِيَ فِيهَا فَوۡجࣱ سَأَلَهُمۡ خَزَنَتُهَآ أَلَمۡ يَأۡتِكُمۡ نَذِيرࣱ 8
Takaadu tamayyazu minal ghaizi kullamaaa uliqya feehaa fawjun sa alahum khazanatuhaaa alam yaatikum nazeer
It almost bursts with fury. Every time a batch is thrown into it, its keepers will ask them, “Has no warner come to you?”
قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ قَدۡ جَآءَنَا نَذِيرࣱ فَكَذَّبۡنَا وَقُلۡنَا مَا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَيۡءٍ إِنۡ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَٰلࣲ كَبِيرࣲ 9
Qaaloo balaa qad jaaa'anaa nazeerun fakazzabnaa wa qulnaa maa nazzalal laahu min shai in in antum illaa fee dalaalin kabeer
They will say, “Yes, a warner did come to us, but we disbelieved, and said, ‘God did not send down anything; you are very much mistaken.’”
وَقَالُواْ لَوۡ كُنَّا نَسۡمَعُ أَوۡ نَعۡقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِيٓ أَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ 10
Wa qaaloo law kunnaa nasma'u awna'qilu maa kunnaa feee as haabis sa'eer
And they will say, “Had we listened or reasoned, we would not have been among the inmates of the Blaze.”
فَٱعۡتَرَفُواْ بِذَنۢبِهِمۡ فَسُحۡقࣰ ا لِّأَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ 11
Fa'tarafoo bizambihim fasuhqal li as haabis sa'eer
So they will acknowledge their sins. So away with the inmates of the Blaze
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخۡشَوۡنَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلۡغَيۡبِ لَهُم مَّغۡفِرَةࣱ وَأَجۡرࣱ كَبِيرࣱ 12
Innal lazeena yakhshawna rabbahum bilghaibi lahum maghfiratunw wa ajrun kabeer
As for those who fear their Lord in secret—for them is forgiveness and a great reward
وَأَسِرُّواْ قَوۡلَكُمۡ أَوِ ٱجۡهَرُواْ بِهِۦٓۖ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ 13
Wa asirroo qawlakum awijharoo bihee innahoo 'aleemum bizaatis sudoor
Whether you keep your words secret, or declare them—He is Aware of the inner thoughts
أَلَا يَعۡلَمُ مَنۡ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ ٱللَّطِيفُ ٱلۡخَبِيرُ 14
Alaa ya'lamu man khalaq wa huwal lateeful khabeer
Would He not know, He Who created? He is the Refined, the Expert
Section 2: Verses 15–30

هُوَ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ ذَلُولࣰ ا فَٱمۡشُواْ فِي مَنَاكِبِهَا وَكُلُواْ مِن رِّزۡقِهِۦۖ وَإِلَيۡهِ ٱلنُّشُورُ 15
Huwal lazee ja'ala lakumul arda zaloolan famshoo fee manaakibihaa wa kuloo mir rizqihee wa ilaihin nushoor
It is He who made the earth manageable for you, so travel its regions, and eat of His provisions. To Him is the Resurgence
ءَأَمِنتُم مَّن فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ أَن يَخۡسِفَ بِكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَمُورُ 16
A-amintum man fissamaaa'i aiyakhsifa bi kumul arda fa izaa hiya tamoor
Are you confident that the One in heaven will not cause the earth to collapse beneath you as it spins
أَمۡ أَمِنتُم مَّن فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ أَن يُرۡسِلَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ حَاصِبࣰ اۖ فَسَتَعۡلَمُونَ كَيۡفَ نَذِيرِ 17
Am amintum man fissamaaa'i ai yursila 'alaikum haasiban fasata'lamoona kaifa nazeer
Or are you confident that the One in Heaven will not unleash against you a violent storm? Then you will know what My warning is like
وَلَقَدۡ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ 18
Wa laqad kazzabal lazeena min qablihim fakaifa kaana nakeer
Those before them also denied the truth; and how was My disapproval
أَوَلَمۡ يَرَوۡاْ إِلَى ٱلطَّيۡرِ فَوۡقَهُمۡ صَٰٓفَّٰتࣲ وَيَقۡبِضۡنَۚ مَا يُمۡسِكُهُنَّ إِلَّا ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُۚ إِنَّهُۥ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءِۭ بَصِيرٌ 19
Awalam yaraw ilat tairi fawqahum saaaffaatinw wa yaqbidn; maa yumsikuhunna illaar rahmaan; innahoo bikulli shai im baseer
Have they not seen the birds above them, spreading their wings, and folding them? None holds them except the Compassionate. He is Perceiver of everything
أَمَّنۡ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي هُوَ جُندࣱ لَّكُمۡ يَنصُرُكُم مِّن دُونِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِۚ إِنِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ إِلَّا فِي غُرُورٍ 20
Amman haazal lazee huwa jundul lakum yansurukum min doonir rahmaan; inilkaafiroona illaa fee ghuroor
Or who is this who is a force for you to protect you against the Compassionate? The disbelievers are in nothing but delusion
أَمَّنۡ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي يَرۡزُقُكُمۡ إِنۡ أَمۡسَكَ رِزۡقَهُۥۚ بَل لَّجُّواْ فِي عُتُوࣲّ وَنُفُورٍ 21
Amman haazal lazee yarzuqukum in amsaka rizqah; bal lajjoo fee 'utuwwinw wa nufoor
Or who is this that will provide for you, if He withholds His provision? Yet they persist in defiance and aversion
أَفَمَن يَمۡشِي مُكِبًّا عَلَىٰ وَجۡهِهِۦٓ أَهۡدَىٰٓ أَمَّن يَمۡشِي سَوِيًّا عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطࣲ مُّسۡتَقِيمࣲ 22
Afamai yamshee mukibban 'alaa wajhihee ahdaaa ammany yamshee sawiyyan 'alaa siratim mustaqeem
Is he who walks bent on his own design better guided, or he who walks upright on a straight path
قُلۡ هُوَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنشَأَكُمۡ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرَ وَٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةَۚ قَلِيلࣰ ا مَّا تَشۡكُرُونَ 23
Qul huwal lazee ansha akum wa ja'ala lakumus sam'a wal absaara wal af'idata qaleelam maa tashkuroon
Say, “It is He who produced you; and made for you the hearing, and the vision, and the organs. But rarely do you give thanks.”
قُلۡ هُوَ ٱلَّذِي ذَرَأَكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَإِلَيۡهِ تُحۡشَرُونَ 24
Qul huwal lazee zara akum fil ardi wa ilaihi tuhsharoon
Say, “It is He who scattered you on earth, and to Him you will be rounded up.”
وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا ٱلۡوَعۡدُ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ 25
Wa yaqooloona mataa haazal wa'du in kuntum saadiqeen
And they say, “When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?”
قُلۡ إِنَّمَا ٱلۡعِلۡمُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ نَذِيرࣱ مُّبِينࣱ 26
Qul innamal 'ilmu 'indallaahi wa innamaaa ana nazeerum mubeen
Say, “Knowledge is with God, and I am only a clear warner.”
فَلَمَّا رَأَوۡهُ زُلۡفَةࣰ سِيٓـَٔتۡ وُجُوهُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَقِيلَ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَدَّعُونَ 27
Falaammaa ra-awhu zulfatan seee'at wujoohul lazeena kafaroo wa qeela haazal lazee kuntum bihee tadda'oon
But when they see it approaching, the faces of those who disbelieved will turn gloomy, and it will be said, “This is what you used to call for.”
قُلۡ أَرَءَيۡتُمۡ إِنۡ أَهۡلَكَنِيَ ٱللَّهُ وَمَن مَّعِيَ أَوۡ رَحِمَنَا فَمَن يُجِيرُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ مِنۡ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمࣲ 28
Qul ara'aytum in ahlaka niyal laahu wa mam ma'iya aw rahimanaa famai-yujeerul kaafireena min 'azaabin aleem
Say, “Have you considered? Should God make me perish, and those with me; or else He bestows His mercy on us; who will protect the disbelievers from an agonizing torment?”
قُلۡ هُوَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦ وَعَلَيۡهِ تَوَكَّلۡنَاۖ فَسَتَعۡلَمُونَ مَنۡ هُوَ فِي ضَلَٰلࣲ مُّبِينࣲ 29
Qul huwar rahmaanu aamannaa bihee wa 'alaihi tawakkalnaa fasata'lamoona man huwa fee dalaalim mubeen
Say, “He is the Compassionate. We have faith in Him, and in Him we trust. Soon you will know who is in evident error.”
قُلۡ أَرَءَيۡتُمۡ إِنۡ أَصۡبَحَ مَآؤُكُمۡ غَوۡرࣰ ا فَمَن يَأۡتِيكُم بِمَآءࣲ مَّعِينِۭ 30
Qul ara'aytum in asbaha maaa'ukum ghawran famai yaateekum bimaaa'im ma'een
Say, “Have you considered? If your water drains away, who will bring you pure running water?”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عَبَّاسٍ الْجُشَمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِنَّ سُورَةً مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ ثَلاَثُونَ آيَةً شَفَعَتْ لِرَجُلٍ حَتَّى غُفِرَ لَهُ وَهِيَ سُورَةُ تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ " . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .
that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Indeed there is a Surah in the Qur'an of thirty Ayat, which intercedes for a man until he is forgiven. It is Tabarak Alladhi Biyadihil-Mulk."
حَدَّثَنَا هُرَيْمُ بْنُ مِسْعَرٍ، - تِرْمِذِيٌّ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ لاَ يَنَامُ حَتَّى يَقْرَأَ : (الم * تَنْزِيلُ ) وَ ( تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ ) . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ رَوَاهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ لَيْثِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ مِثْلَ هَذَا . وَرَوَاهُ مُغِيرَةُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوَ هَذَا . وَرَوَى زُهَيْرٌ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ سَمِعْتَ مِنْ جَابِرٍ يَذْكُرُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ . فَقَالَ أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ إِنَّمَا أَخْبَرَنِيهِ صَفْوَانُ أَوِ ابْنُ صَفْوَانَ وَكَأَنَّ زُهَيْرًا أَنْكَرَ أَنْ يَكُونَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ . حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوَهُ . حَدَّثَنَا هُرَيْمٌ بن مِسْعَرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلٌ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، قَالَ تَفْضُلاَنِ عَلَى كُلِّ سُورَةٍ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ بِسَبْعِينَ حَسَنَةً .
The Prophet (ﷺ) would not sleep until he recited Alif Lam Mim Tanzil and: Tabarak Alladhi Biyadihil-Mulk." This Hadith was reported similarly by more than one from Laith bin Abi Sulaim. Mughirah bin Muslim reported it from Abu Az-Zubair, from Jabir from the Prophet (ﷺ) and it is similar to this. Zuhair reported it and said: "I said to Abu Az-Zubair: 'Did you hear Jabir mentioning this Hadith?' He said: 'Safwan or Ibn Safwan informed me of it.'" It is as if Zuhair rejected the idea that this Hadith was from Abu Az-Zubair from Jabir. (Another chain) with similar in meaning. (Another chain) that Tawus said: "They are seventy good merits more of virtue in it than every Surah in the Qur'an."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عَبَّاسٍ الْجُشَمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " إِنَّ سُورَةً فِي الْقُرْآنِ ثَلاَثُونَ آيَةً شَفَعَتْ لِصَاحِبِهَا حَتَّى غُفِرَ لَهُ {تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ} " .
"There is a surah in the Qur'an, with thirty verses, which will intercede for its companion (the one who recites it) until he is forgiven: Tabarakal-ladhi bi yadihil mulk (Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the Dominion)."
وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال :" من القرآن سورة ثلاثون آية شفعت لرجل حتى غفرت له ،وهي: تبارك الذي بيده الملك ". ((رواه أبو داود والترمذي وقال :" حديث حسن ، وفي رواية أبي داود: "تشفع ")).
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, "There is a Surah in the Qur'an which contains thirty Ayat which kept interceding for a man until his sins are forgiven. This Surah is 'Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion.' (Surat Al-Mulk 67).".
Chapter 108 | Enlightening Points Deduced from the Holy Quran about Leadership with Divine Authority)
44ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله فِي قَوْلِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ فِي ضَلالٍ مُبِينٍ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ حَيْثُ أَنْبَأْتُكُمْ رِسَالَةَ رَبِّي فِي وَلايَةِ علي وَالائِمَّةِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ مَنْ هُوَ فِي ضَلالٍ مُبِينٍ كَذَا أُنْزِلَتْ وَفِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى إِنْ تَلْوُوا أَوْ تُعْرِضُوا فَقَالَ إِنْ تَلْوُوا الامْرَ وَتُعْرِضُوا عَمَّا أُمِرْتُمْ بِهِ فَإِنَّ الله كانَ بِما تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيراً وَفِي قَوْلِهِ فَلَنُذِيقَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِتَرْكِهِمْ وَلايَةَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَذاباً شَدِيداً فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَسْوَأَ الَّذِي كانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ.
44. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn Asbat from Ali ibn abu Hamza from abu Basir from abu ‘Abdallah about the words of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Gracious. “You will soon know who is in manifest error” (67:29) This verse is addressed to those who refuse to acknowledge the Imam Ali’s Leadership with Divine Authority and the Imams after him that they are ‘in manifest error.’ Similarly they are addressed in this verse, “If you deviate from the truth in your testimony, or decline to give your testimony at all, know that God is Well Aware of what you do.” (4:135) the truth referred to is (Leadership with Divine Authority of the Imams They are also in the words of Allah. “We shall certainly make the unbelievers (in (Leadership with Divine Authority of Imam Ali suffer severe torment (in this world) and will punish them far worse than what they deserve for their deeds.” (41:27).”

67ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُمْهُورٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِي السَّفَاتِجِ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ ابي جعفر فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ زُلْفَةً سِيئَتْ وُجُوهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَقِيلَ هذَا الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تَدَّعُونَ قَالَ هَذِهِ نَزَلَتْ فِي أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَأَصْحَابِهِ الَّذِينَ عَمِلُوا مَا عَمِلُوا يَرَوْنَ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي أَغْبَطِ الامَاكِنِ لَهُمْ فَيُسِيءُ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَيُقَالُ لَهُمْ هذَا الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تَدَّعُونَ الَّذِي انْتَحَلْتُمِ اسْمَهُ.
67. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Jumhur from ’Isma‘il ibn Sahl from al-Qasim ibn ‘Urwa from abu al-Safatij from Zurara from abu Ja‘far about the words of Allah, the Most High. “When they see the torment approaching, the faces of the unbelievers will blacken and they will be told, “This is what you wanted to (experience)” (67:27). The Imam said, “This was revealed about Amir al-Mu’minin and his contemporaries who did what they to him. They will see Amir al-Mu’minin in such a position that will make them envious.
