يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ لَهُ ٱلۡمُلۡكُ وَلَهُ ٱلۡحَمۡدُۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءࣲ قَدِيرٌ 1

Yusabbihu lillaahi maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ardi lahul mulku wa lahul hamd, wa Huwa 'alaa kulli shai 'in Qadeer

يُسَبِّحُ Glorifies
لِلَّهِ [to] Allah
مَا whatever
فِى (is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens
وَمَا and whatever
فِى (is) in
ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth.
لَهُ For Him
ٱلْمُلْكُ (is the) dominion
وَلَهُ and for Him
ٱلْحَمْدُ (is) the praise.
وَهُوَ And He
عَلَىٰ (is) on
كُلِّ every
شَىْءٌ thing
قَدِيرٍ All-Powerful.

Everything in the heavens and the earth praises God. To Him belongs the Kingdom, and to Him all praise is due, and He is Able to do all things

64:2 Juz 28 * Page 556

هُوَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكُمۡ فَمِنكُمۡ كَافِرࣱ وَمِنكُم مُّؤۡمِنࣱۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ 2

Huwal lazee khalaqakum faminkum kaafirunw wa min kum mu'min ; wallaahu bimaa ta'maloona Baseer

هُوَ He
ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who
خَلَقَكُمْ created you
فَمِنكُمْ and among you
كَافِرٍ (is) a disbeliever
وَمِنكُم and among you
مُّؤْمِنٍ (is) a believer.
وَٱللَّهُ And Allah
بِمَا of what
تَعْمَلُونَ you do
بَصِيرٍ (is) All-Seer.

It is He who created you. Some of you are unbelievers, and some of you are believers. And God perceives what you do

64:3 Juz 28 * Page 556

خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَصَوَّرَكُمۡ فَأَحۡسَنَ صُوَرَكُمۡۖ وَإِلَيۡهِ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ 3

Khalaqas samaawaati wal arda bilhaqqi wa sawwarakum fa ahsana suwarakum wa ilaihil maseer

خَلَقَ He created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth
بِٱلْحَقِّ with truth,
وَصَوَّرَكُمْ and He formed you
فَأَحْسَنَ and made good
صُوَرَكُمْ your forms,
وَإِلَيْهِ and to Him
ٱلْمَصِيرُ (is) the final return.

He created the heavens and the earth with truth, and He designed you, and designed you well, and to Him is the final return

64:4 Juz 28 * Page 556

يَعۡلَمُ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَيَعۡلَمُ مَا تُسِرُّونَ وَمَا تُعۡلِنُونَۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ 4

Ya'lamu maa fis samaawaati wal ardi wa ya'lamu maa tusirroona wa maa tu'linoon; wallaahu 'Aleemum bizaatis sudoor

يَعْلَمُ He knows
مَا what
فِى (is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth,
وَيَعْلَمُ and He knows
مَا what
تُسِرُّونَ you conceal
وَمَا and what
تُعْلِنُونَ you declare.
وَٱللَّهُ And Allah
عَلِيمٍۢ (is) All-Knowing
بِذَاتِ of what
ٱلصُّدُورِ (is in) the breasts.

He knows everything in the heavens and the earth, and He knows what you conceal and what you reveal. And God knows what is within the hearts

64:5 Juz 28 * Page 556

أَلَمۡ يَأۡتِكُمۡ نَبَؤُاْ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن قَبۡلُ فَذَاقُواْ وَبَالَ أَمۡرِهِمۡ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمࣱ‏ 5

Alam yaatikum naba'ul lazeena kafaroo min qablu fazaaqoo wabaala amrihim wa lahum 'azaabun aleem

أَلَمْ Has not
يَأْتِكُمْ come to you
نَبَؤُا۟ (the) news
ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who
كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved
مِن from
قَبْلُ before?
فَذَاقُوا۟ So they tasted
وَبَالَ (the bad) consequence
أَمْرِهِمْ (of) their affair,
وَلَهُمْ and for them
عَذَابٍ (is) a punishment
أَلِيمٍ painful.

Has the news not reached you, of those who disbelieved before? They tasted the ill consequences of their conduct, and a painful torment awaits them

64:6 Juz 28 * Page 556

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُۥ كَانَت تَّأۡتِيهِمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَقَالُوٓاْ أَبَشَرࣱ يَهۡدُونَنَا فَكَفَرُواْ وَتَوَلَّواْۖ وَّٱسۡتَغۡنَى ٱللَّهُۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَنِيٌّ حَمِيدࣱ‏ 6

Zaalika bi annahoo kaanat taateehim Rusuluhum bilbaiyinaati faqaaloo a basharuny yahdoonanaa fakafaroo wa tawallaw; wastaghnal laah; wallaahu ghaniyyun hameed

ذَٰلِكَ That
بِأَنَّهُۥ (is) because
كَانَت had
تَّأْتِيهِمْ come to them
رُسُلُهُم their Messengers
بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ with clear proofs,
فَقَالُوۡا۟ but they said,
أَبَشَرٍ "Shall human beings
يَهْدُونَنَا guide us?"
فَكَفَرُوا۟ So they disbelieved
وَتَوَلَّوا۟ and turned away.
وَّٱسْتَغْنَى And can do without them
ٱللَّهُ Allah.
وَٱللَّهُ And Allah
غَنِىٍّ (is) Self-sufficient,
حَمِيدٍ Praiseworthy.

That is because their messengers came to them with clear explanations, but they said, “Are human beings going to guide us?” So they disbelieved and turned away. But God is in no need. God is Independent and Praiseworthy

64:7 Juz 28 * Page 556

زَعَمَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَن لَّن يُبۡعَثُواْۚ قُلۡ بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّي لَتُبۡعَثُنَّ ثُمَّ لَتُنَبَّؤُنَّ بِمَا عَمِلۡتُمۡۚ وَذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرࣱ‏ 7

Za'amal lazeena kafarooo al-lany yub'asoo; qul balaa wa rabbee latub'asunna summa latunabba'unna bimaa 'amiltum; wa zaalika 'alal laahi yaseer

زَعَمَ Claim
ٱلَّذِينَ those who
كَفَرُوۡا۟ disbelieve
أَن that
لَّن never
يُبْعَثُوا۟ will they be raised.
قُلْ Say,
بَلَىٰ "Yes,
وَرَبِّى by my Lord,
لَتُبْعَثُنَّ surely you will be raised;
ثُمَّ then
لَتُنَبَّؤُنَّ surely you will be informed
بِمَا of what
عَمِلْتُمْ you did.
وَذَٰلِكَ And that
عَلَى for
ٱللَّهِ Allah
يَسِيرٍ (is) easy."

Those who disbelieve claim that they will not be resurrected. Say, “Yes indeed, by my Lord, you will be resurrected; then you will be informed of everything you did; and that is easy for God.”

64:8 Juz 28 * Page 556

فَـَٔامِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَٱلنُّورِ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنزَلۡنَاۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرࣱ‏ 8

Fa-aaminoo billaahi wa rasoolihee wannooril lazeee anzalnaa; wallaahu bima ta'maloona khabeer

فَـَْامِنُوا۟ So believe
بِٱللَّهِ in Allah
وَرَسُولِهِۧ and His Messenger
وَٱلنُّورِ and the Light
ٱلَّذِىۡ which
أَنزَلْنَا We have sent down.
وَٱللَّهُ And Allah,
بِمَا of what
تَعْمَلُونَ you do,
خَبِيرٍ (is) All-Aware.

So believe in God and His Messenger, and the Light which We sent down. God is Aware of everything you do

Inheritance

يَوۡمَ يَجۡمَعُكُمۡ لِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡجَمۡعِۖ ذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمُ ٱلتَّغَابُنِۗ وَمَن يُؤۡمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ وَيَعۡمَلۡ صَٰلِحࣰ ا يُكَفِّرۡ عَنۡهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِۦ وَيُدۡخِلۡهُ جَنَّٰتࣲ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدࣰ اۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ 9

Ywma yajma'ukum li yawmil jam'i zaalika yawmut taghaabun; wa many-yumim billaahi wa ya'mal saalihany yukaffir 'anhu sayyi aatihee wa yudkhilhu jannaatin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feehaaa abadaa; zaalikal fawzul 'azeem

يَوْمَ (The) Day
يَجْمَعُكُمْ He will assemble you
لِيَوْمِ for (the) Day
ٱلْجَمْعِ (of) the Assembly,
ذَٰلِكَ that
يَوْمُ (will be the) Day
ٱلتَّغَابُنِ (of) mutual loss and gain.
وَمَن And whoever
يُؤْمِنۢ believes
بِٱللَّهِ in Allah
وَيَعْمَلْ and does
صَٰلِحًا righteous deeds
يُكَفِّرْ He will remove
عَنْهُ from him
سَيِّـَْاتِهِۧ his evil deeds
وَيُدْخِلْهُ and He will admit him
جَنَّٰتٌ (to) Gardens
تَجْرِى flow
مِن from
تَحْتِهَا underneath it
ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ the rivers,
خَٰلِدِينَ abiding
فِيهَاۡ therein
أَبَدًا forever.
ذَٰلِكَ That
ٱلْفَوْزُ (is) the success
ٱلْعَظِيمُ the great.

The Day when He gathers you for the Day of Gathering—that is the Day of Mutual Exchange. Whoever believes in God and acts with integrity, He will remit his misdeeds, and will admit him into gardens beneath which rivers flow, to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme achievement

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَكَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَاۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ 10

وَٱلَّذِينَ But those who
كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved

أَصْحَٰبُ (are the) companions
ٱلنَّارِ (of) the Fire,

وَبِئْسَ And wretched is

But as for those who disbelieve and denounce Our revelations—these are the inmates of the Fire, dwelling therein forever; and what a miserable fate

مَآ أَصَابَ مِن مُّصِيبَةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِۗ وَمَن يُؤۡمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ يَهۡدِ قَلۡبَهُۥۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عَلِيمࣱ‏ 11

Maaa asaaba mim musee batin illaa bi-iznil laah; wa many yu'mim billaahi yahdi qalbah; wallaahu bikulli shai;in Aleem

مَاۡ Not
أَصَابَ strikes
مِن any
مُّصِيبَةٌ disaster
إِلَّا except
بِإِذْنِ by (the) permission
ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah.
وَمَن And whoever
يُؤْمِنۢ believes
بِٱللَّهِ in Allah,
يَهْدِ He guides
قَلْبَهُۥ his heart.
وَٱللَّهُ And Allah
بِكُلِّ of every
شَىْءٌ thing
عَلِيمٍ (is) All-Knowing.

No disaster occurs except by God’s leave. Whoever believes in God, He guides his heart. God is Aware of everything

64:12 Juz 28 * Page 557

وَأَطِيعُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُواْ ٱلرَّسُولَۚ فَإِن تَوَلَّيۡتُمۡ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَىٰ رَسُولِنَا ٱلۡبَلَٰغُ ٱلۡمُبِينُ 12

Wa atee'ul laaha wa atee'ur Rasool; fa in tawallaitum fa innamaa 'alaa Rasoolinal balaaghul mubeen

وَأَطِيعُوا۟ So obey
ٱللَّهَ Allah
وَأَطِيعُوا۟ and obey
ٱلرَّسُولَ the Messenger;
فَإِن but if
تَوَلَّيْتُمْ you turn away,
فَإِنَّمَا then only
عَلَىٰ upon
رَسُولِنَا Our Messenger
ٱلْبَلَٰغُ (is) the conveyance
ٱلْمُبِينُ clear.

So obey God, and obey the Messenger. But if you turn away—it is only incumbent on Our Messenger to deliver the clear message

64:13 Juz 28 * Page 557

ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ 13

Allaahu laaa ilaaha illaa Hoo; wa 'alal laahi falyata wakkalil mu'minoon

ٱللَّهُ Allah,
لَاۡ (there is) no
إِلَٰهَ god
إِلَّا except
هُوَ Him.
وَعَلَى And upon
ٱللَّهِ Allah
فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ let put (their) trust
ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ the believers.

God, there is no god but He; and in God let the believers put their trust

64:14 Juz 28 * Page 557

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِنَّ مِنۡ أَزۡوَٰجِكُمۡ وَأَوۡلَٰدِكُمۡ عَدُوࣰّ ا لَّكُمۡ فَٱحۡذَرُوهُمۡۚ وَإِن تَعۡفُواْ وَتَصۡفَحُواْ وَتَغۡفِرُواْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورࣱ رَّحِيمٌ 14

Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanooo inna min azwaaji kum wa awlaadikum 'aduwwal lakum fahzaroohum; wa in ta'foo wa tasfahoo wa taghfiroo fa innal laaha ghafoorur Raheem

يَٰۡأَيُّهَا O
ٱلَّذِينَ (you) who
ءَامَنُوۡا۟ believe!
إِنَّ Indeed,
مِنْ from
أَزْوَٰجِكُمْ your spouses
وَأَوْلَٰدِكُمْ and your children
عَدُوًّا (are) enemies
لَّكُمْ to you,
فَٱحْذَرُوهُمْ so beware of them.
وَإِن But if
تَعْفُوا۟ you pardon
وَتَصْفَحُوا۟ and overlook
وَتَغْفِرُوا۟ and forgive,
فَإِنَّ then indeed,
ٱللَّهَ Allah
غَفُورٍ (is) Oft-Forgiving,
رَّحِيمٍ Most Merciful.

O you who believe! Among your wives and your children are enemies to you, so beware of them. But if you pardon, and overlook, and forgive—God is Forgiver and Merciful

64:15 Juz 28 * Page 557

إِنَّمَآ أَمۡوَٰلُكُمۡ وَأَوۡلَٰدُكُمۡ فِتۡنَةࣱۚ وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥٓ أَجۡرٌ عَظِيمࣱ‏ 15

Innamaa amwaalukum wa awlaadukum fitnah; wallaahu 'indahooo ajrun 'azeem

إِنَّمَاۡ Only
أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ your wealth
وَأَوْلَٰدُكُمْ and your children
فِتْنَةٍ (are) a trial,
وَٱللَّهُ and Allah -
عِندَهُۥۡ with Him
أَجْرٍ (is) a reward
عَظِيمٍ great.

Your possessions and your children are a test, but with God is a splendid reward

64:16 Juz 28 * Page 557

فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ مَا ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ وَٱسۡمَعُواْ وَأَطِيعُواْ وَأَنفِقُواْ خَيۡرࣰ ا لِّأَنفُسِكُمۡۗ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفۡسِهِۦ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ 16

Fattaqul laaha mastat'tum wasma'oo wa atee'oo waanfiqoo khairal li anfusikum; wa many-yooqa shuha nafsihee fa-ulaaa'ika humul muflihoon

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ So fear
ٱللَّهَ Allah
مَا what
ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ you are able
وَٱسْمَعُوا۟ and listen
وَأَطِيعُوا۟ and obey
وَأَنفِقُوا۟ and spend;
خَيْرًا (it is) better
لِّأَنفُسِكُمْ for yourselves.
وَمَن And whoever
يُوقَ is saved
شُحَّ (from the) greediness
نَفْسِهِۧ (of) his soul,
فَأُو۟لَٰۡئِكَ then those
هُمُ [they]
ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ (are) the successful ones.

So be conscious of God as much as you can, and listen, and obey, and give for your own good. He who is protected from his stinginess—these are the prosperous

64:17 Juz 28 * Page 557

إِن تُقۡرِضُواْ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنࣰ ا يُضَٰعِفۡهُ لَكُمۡ وَيَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ شَكُورٌ حَلِيمٌ 17

In tuqridul laaha qardan hasanany yudd'ifhu lakum wa yaghfir lakum; wallaahu Shakoorun Haleem

إِن If
تُقْرِضُوا۟ you loan
ٱللَّهَ (to) Allah
قَرْضًا a loan
حَسَنًا goodly,
يُضَٰعِفْهُ He will multiply it
لَكُمْ for you
وَيَغْفِرْ and will forgive
لَكُمْ you.
وَٱللَّهُ And Allah
شَكُورٍ (is) Most Appreciative,
حَلِيمٍ Most Forbearing,

If you lend God a good loan, He will multiply it for you, and will forgive you. God is Appreciative and Forbearing

64:18 Juz 28 * Page 557

عَٰلِمُ ٱلۡغَيۡبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ 18

Aalimul-Ghaibi wash-shahaadatil 'Azeezul Hakeem

عَٰلِمُ (The) Knower
ٱلْغَيْبِ (of) the unseen
وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ and the witnessed,
ٱلْعَزِيزُ the All-Mighty,
ٱلْحَكِيمُ the All-Wise.

The Knower of the Unseen and the Seen, the Almighty, the Wise
