Innaaa anzalnaaa ilaikal Kitaaba bilhaqqi fa'budil laaha mukhlisal lahud deen

Indeed, We
[We] have revealed
إليْك to you
الْكتب the Book
بالْحق in truth;
فاعْبُد so worship
الله Allah
مُخْلصًا (being) sincere
لهُ to Him
الدين (in) the religion.

We sent down to you the Book with the truth, so serve God, devoting your religion to Him

39:3 Juz 23 * Page 458

الْخالصُ the pure.
And those who

أوْلياء protectors,
ما "Not

إن Indeed,
الله Allah
لا (does) not
يهْدى guide
منْ (one) who
هُو [he]
كذب (is) a liar
كفار and a disbeliever.

Is not to God that sincere faith is due? As for those who take guardians besides Him, “We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to God.” God will judge between them regarding their differences. God does not guide the lying blasphemer

39:4 Juz 23 * Page 458

هُو He
اللهُ (is) Allah
الْوحدُ the One,

If God wanted to have a son, He could have selected from His creation at will. Glory be to Him. He is God, the One, the Prevailing

39:5 Juz 23 * Page 458

He created
السموت the heavens
والْأرْض and the earth

He wraps
اليْل the night
على over

ويُكورُ and wraps

اليْل the night.
And He subjected

مُسمًى specified.
Unquestionably,
هُو He
الْعزيزُ (is) the All-Mighty,
الْغفرُ the Oft-Forgiving.

He created the heavens and the earth with reason. He wraps the night around the day, and He wraps the day around the night. And He regulates the sun and the moon, each running along a specific course. He is indeed the Almighty, the Forgiver

39:6 Juz 23 * Page 459

He created you
من from
نفْسٌ a soul
وحدةٌ single.
Then
He made
منْها from it
زوْجها its mate.
And He sent down
لكُم for you
من of
الْأنْعم the cattle
ثمنية eight
أزْوجٌ kinds.
He creates you
فى in
بُطُون (the) wombs
أُمهتكُمْ (of) your mothers,

خلْقٌ creation,
فى in
ظُلُمتٌ darkness[es]
ثلثٌ three.
That
اللهُ (is) Allah
ربُكُمْ your Lord;
لهُ for Him
الْمُلْكُ (is) the dominion.
لا (There is) no
إله god
إلا except
هُو He.
Then how
تُصْرفُون are you turning away?

He created you from one person, then made from it its mate, and brought down livestock for you—eight kinds in pairs. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, in successive formations, in a triple darkness. Such is God, your Lord. His is the kingdom. There is no god but He. So what made you deviate

39:7 Juz 23 * Page 459

إن If
تكْفُرُوا you disbelieve
فإن then indeed,
الله Allah
غنى (is) free from need
عنكُمْ of you.
And not
He likes
لعباده in His slaves
الْكُفْر ungratefulness.
And if
تشْكُرُوا you are grateful
He likes it
لكُمْ in you.
And not
تزرُ will bear
وازرة bearer of burdens
وزْر (the) burden
أُخْرى (of) another.
Then
إلى to
ربكُم your Lord
مرْجعُكُمْ (is) your return,
فيُنبئُكُم then He will inform you
بما about what
كُنتُمْ you used to
تعْملُون do.
Indeed, He
عليم (is) the All-Knower
بذات of what (is) in the breasts.
الصُدُور of what (is) in the breasts.

If you disbelieve, God is Independent of you, yet He does not approve ingratitude on the part of His servants. And if you are thankful, He will approve that in you. No bearer of burden can bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return; and He will inform you of what you used to do. He is aware of what the hearts contain

39:8 Juz 23 * Page 459

And when
مس touches
الْإنسن [the] man
ضُر adversity,
دعا he calls
ربهُ his Lord
مُنيبًا turning
إليْه to Him;
ثُم then
إذا when
He bestows on him
نعْمةً a favor
منْهُ from Himself,
نسى he forgets
ما (for) what
كان he used to call
يدْعُوا he used to call
إليْه [to] Him
من before,
قبْلُ before,
وجعل and he sets up
لله to Allah
أندادًا rivals
ليُضل to mislead
عن from
His Path.
Say,
Enjoy
بكُفْرك in your disbelief
قليلًا (for) a little.
Indeed, you
منْ (are) of
أصْحب (the) companions
النار (of) the Fire."

When some adversity touches the human being, he prays to his Lord, repenting to Him. But then, when He confers on him a grace of His, he forgets what he was praying for before, and he attributes rivals to God, in order to lead astray from His way. Say, “Enjoy your disbelief for a little while; you will be among the inmates of the Fire.”

(the wife of the Prophet) Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) died while Abu Bakr was at a place called As-Sunah (Al-'Aliya) 'Umar stood up and said, "By Allah! Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) is not dead!" 'Umar (later on) said, "By Allah! Nothing occurred to my mind except that." He said, "Verily! Allah will resurrect him and he will cut the hands and legs of some men." Then Abu Bakr came and uncovered the face of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), kissed him and said, "Let my mother and father be sacrificed for you, (O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)), you are good in life and in death. By Allah in Whose Hands my life is, Allah will never make you taste death twice." Then he went out and said, "O oath-taker! Don't be hasty." When Abu Bakr spoke, 'Umar sat down. Abu Bakr praised and glorified Allah and said, No doubt! Whoever worshipped Muhammad, then Muhammad is dead, but whoever worshipped Allah, then Allah is Alive and shall never die." Then he recited Allah's Statement.:-- "(O Muhammad) Verily you will die, and they also will die." (39.30) He also recited:-- "Muhammad is no more than an Apostle; and indeed many Apostles have passed away, before him, If he dies Or is killed, will you then Turn back on your heels? And he who turns back On his heels, not the least Harm will he do to Allah And Allah will give reward to those Who are grateful." (3.144) The people wept loudly, and the Ansar were assembled with Sad bin 'Ubada in the shed of Bani Saida. They said (to the emigrants). "There should be one 'Amir from us and one from you." Then Abu Bakr, Umar bin Al-Khattab and Abu 'baida bin Al-Jarrah went to them. 'Umar wanted to speak but Abu Bakr stopped him. 'Umar later on used to say, "By Allah, I intended only to say something that appealed to me and I was afraid that Abu Bakr would not speak so well. Then Abu Bakr spoke and his speech was very eloquent. He said in his statement, "We are the rulers and you (Ansars) are the ministers (i.e. advisers)," Hubab bin Al-Mundhir said, "No, by Allah we won't accept this. But there must be a ruler from us and a ruler from you." Abu Bakr said, "No, we will be the rulers and you will be the ministers, for they (i.e. Quarish) are the best family amongst the 'Arabs and of best origin. So you should elect either 'Umar or Abu 'Ubaida bin Al-Jarrah as your ruler." 'Umar said (to Abu Bakr), "No but we elect you, for you are our chief and the best amongst us and the most beloved of all of us to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)." So 'Umar took Abu Bakr's hand and gave the pledge of allegiance and the people too gave the pledge of allegiance to Abu Bakr. Someone said, "You have killed Sad bin Ubada." 'Umar said, "Allah has killed him."

A (Jewish) Rabbi came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and he said, "O Muhammad! We learn that Allah will put all the heavens on one finger, and the earths on one finger, and the trees on one finger, and the water and the dust on one finger, and all the other created beings on one finger. Then He will say, 'I am the King.' Thereupon the Prophet (ﷺ) smiled so that his pre-molar teeth became visible, and that was the confirmation of the Rabbi. Then Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) recited: 'They made not a just estimate of Allah such as is due to Him. And on the Day of Resurrection the whole of the earth will be grasped by His Hand and the heavens will be rolled up in His Right Hand. Glorified is He, and High is He above all that they associate as partners with Him.' (39.67)

Muhammad, or Abu al-Qasim, verily, Allah, the Exalted and Glorious would carry the Heavens on the Day of Judgment upon one finger and earths upon one finger and the mountains and trees upon one finger and the ocean and moist earth upon one finger, and in fact the whole of the creation upon one finger, and then He would stir them and say: I am your Lord, I am your Lord. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) smiled testifying what that scholar had said. He then recited this verse:" And they honour not Allah with the honour due to Him; and the whole earth will be in His grip on the Day of Resurrection and the heaven rolled up in His right hand. Glory be to Him I and highly Exalted is He above what they associate (with Him)" (Az-Zumar:67).
